Congratulations!!! That's awesome!

I also read/listened to Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare, which continues from The Mortal Instruments into another trilogy following Emma and Julian 5 years later. Her writing keeps improving with time, which someone else had told me too.

This week I read a lot of graphic novels to get my challenge in!
The Hidden Kingdom by Tui T. Sutherland graphic version. I loved this book, the pictures are gorgeous and I really got sucked into the story! My students have loved Wings of Fire so I thought I'd give it a try and I really recommend if you love dragons.
Amulet Series #1-#3
The Stonekeeper, The Stonekeeper's Curse, and The Cloud Searchers by Kazu Kibuishi.
This is also a series loved by my students and I also enjoyed it a lot! It had somewhat dystopian vibes for me, which is one of my all time favorite genres, so I really enjoyed as well. It also has very strong familial ties.

I was furiously going through books I read and put them in categories, but I still had categories I couldn't fill in. Mostly the advanced, but still. I'm missing about 15 books.
I did enjoy all of the books I read for the challenge, and one of the reasons I do like challenges is it gets me out of my comfort zone with books and I find others I really enjoy.
How did everyone else do??

I read 'Ravenous' by Helen Hardt (#11 Steel Brothers Saga) and it was AMAZING! I love this series and can't wait for the next 4 which publish next year!
I also finished 'The Girl Who Played with Fire' by Steig Larsson, which was my pop sugar challenge for a book set in Scandinavia.

I read 'Tales from a Not-So-Smart Miss Know-It-All (#5), which I liked.
And I read 'Breathless' by Helen Hardt, which is book 10 in the saga of the Steel Brothers and IT WAS AMAZING! If you haven't read this series yet I highly recommend!!

I read 'Unraveled' by Helen Hardt (Steel Brothers (#9), which has a great ending to the saga!
I also read 'Just Jamie' by Terri Libenson, which is a graphic novel in a series she's doing with various characters at a middle school. I have them in my classroom and a lot of students like the books as well.
Lastly I read 'Tales from a Not-So-Graceful Ice Princess' by Rachel Renee Russell (#4) and am really enjoying the series. I can see why so many of my students read them!

First, I read 'When Will This Cruel War be Over?' by Barry Denenberg to fulfill my book with a question in the title. It is a Dear America book about the Civil War. It was a pretty quick read, and also was pretty good, I used to read these all the time in middle school so it was fun to revisit.
I then read 'Tales from a Not-So-Fabulous Life' (Dork Diaries #1), 'Tales from a Not-So-Popular Party Girl' (Dork Diaries #2), and 'Tales from a Not-So-Talented Pop Star' (Dork Diaries #3) by Rachel Renee Russell. I needed to read #3 for my book with 'pop', 'sugar', or 'challenge' in the title, and of course I wanted to start from the beginning of the series! The positive thing about reading these is it's a quick read for me, and I'm reading books my students have read and can bond with them over this book. The series is pretty good as well, it gives an insight into Nikki Maxwell's diary about her middle school experiences.
I also read 'Twisted' by Helen Hardt (Steel Brothers #8). I love this series so much, and highly recommend to everyone! (Warning: this series is erotica and mentions child abuse).
And lastly, I read 'Boy-Crazy Stacey' by Gale Galligan, adapted from the original Baby Sitter's Club. My students love these graphic novels, so I started them last year and love them as well!
I hope next week is just as well so I can finally get above 20 books behind!
