837645 Wow, really bad week again for me! I did finish a book today that will count for next week, but I've made progress on 'Vox' by Christina Dalcher, which is SO good!
I'm hoping next week to get back on track and finish at least 3-4 books!

837645 So sorry I forgot to post! This is for the Week of January 27-February 2.
I had another bad week, and only finished 1 book! I read 'The Ersatz Elevator' by Lemony Snicket, book 6. How have you all been doing??
837645 For this one I read the second book in the signs of love series, 'Scorpio Hates Virgo' by Anyta Sunday.

837645 I've been really bad this week and I've only finished 1 book, 'Girls Made of Snow and Glass'! I'm still currently reading 'The Girl Who Dared to Fight' and I started 'Vox', both of which are for a book club.
I hope to do much better this week!

Week 3 Check In (4 new)
Jan 20, 2019 06:19AM

837645 Last week was a busy week for me reading wise! I read:
'Gemini Keeps Capricorn' by Anyta Sunday
'Gemini Rules Capricorn' by Anyta Sunday
'Pisces Hooks Taurus' by Anyta Sunday
'Pisces Floors Taurus' by Anyta Sunday
'The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty' by A.N Roquelaure (Ann Rice)
And I started reading 'The Girl who Dared to Fight' by Bella Forrest, which is the last in the series and I'm reading it for my book club. And for a debut novel, I started reading 'Girls Made of Snow and Glass' by Melissa Bashardoust. I'm really enjoying that one so far because it's a snow white novel, but with some major twists that show more of the queen's side, and more of their relationship in a positive way.

837645 This is for the week of January 13-19. Sorry I'm late on posting this one!

837645 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' series are all set in Scandinavia. Doing #1 for the amateur detective, #2 for a book published posthumously and #3 for this category so I can read all 3!
A debut novel (6 new)

837645 'Girls made of Glass and Snow' by Melissa C. is a spin off of a snow white type book, and I LOVE spin off fairy tales so I will be reading that book for this.
Jan 16, 2019 06:57AM

837645 I'm looking at reading 'Between the Lines' by Jodi Picoult and her daughter Samantha Van Leer. I love Jodi Picoult's writing and her books, and this one is a YA novel that I think sounds interesting.

837645 There are 2 books with the title 'Brave Enough', and the one I read, by Kati Gardner, was really good! Cason is a ballerina who's been hiding an injury, one more serious than it seems at first. Along the way she meets Davis, who's now been sober over 6 months. They learn what it is to be brave enough to conquer their fears and ailments.

837645 I also just read a Series of Unfortunate Events book, #4 The Miserable Mill, for this challenge. It's something I started reading in middle school (which was now over 10 years ago!!!).
Week 2 Check-In (5 new)
Jan 12, 2019 02:34PM

837645 This is for the week of January 6-January 12.

This week I upped my reading list! I've finished 5 total and 2 for the challenge. I read "Leo loves Aries" by Anyta Sunday for my book with love in the title, and the next one "Scorpio hates Virgo" for the book with a zodiac sign in the title. Both these books were fabulous and I really enjoyed them. I also finished "The Girl Who Dared to Endure" by Bella Forrest for my book club this weekend.

How did you do this week? Did you finish any for your challenge? I'm 2 down, 48 to go!

837645 For this category I just read “Leo loves Aries” by Anyta Sunday, and I was really good! I finished it in a day! I’m reading the next one in the series for a book with an astrology or zodiac sign in the title.
837645 I plan on reading a book in the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan.

837645 Hi! My name is Cassandrah Woyak, and I've created this group to help with finding books to fulfill the POPSUGAR Reading Challenge 2019, because I can search the internet, but I don't know if anyone actually would recommend it! I also thought it would be fun to see how others are doing with this challenge, and see how everyone else if fulfilling the topics. So I thought we'd answer a few questions to get to know everyone :)

What is your favorite genre of books?
Who is one of your favorite authors?
What is one of your all time favorite series?
How many books did you read last year, and did you do a challenge?
Why did you join this group and choose this challenge?

My favorite genre of books are dystopian novels (my handle on instagram is @dystopiannovelsfanatic), fantasy, and fairytale. I especially love any combinations of these.
One of my favorite authors is Sarah J. Maas. I love both series she has, and plan to read Catwoman for this challenge!
An all time favorite series of mine is A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. If you haven't read it and love beauty and the beast retellings, pick this up!
I read 126 books last year, however I did not do a challenge. I did a challenge in 2017 (reading only all new books) and needed a year off to do a lot of re-reading.
I chose this challenge because it looked like it would get me out of my comfort zone, which is why I love doing challenges, and would help me not keep rereading all the same books.

837645 Hi! I've decided to at (or near) the end of the weeks during the year a thread to check in. Just to see what we've read that week and any topics we've fulfilled. Just a fun little way to see how everyone's doing and what we're all reading, especially if a really good book we're reading doesn't fit a topic! Please feel free to check in weekly :)
