I can remember there being sex in a couple of young adult books, but I can't remember how explicit it was... Probably not very. I think slash is better than a lot of books at having sex in it without it being some cheesy romance novel. Also the internet is the only place you can really get proper sex scenes in stories that are otherwise targeted at younger audiences, such as in the case of high school fic.

Some of my favourite stories are free, and I've read some published stuff that I've hated. It's particularly annoying if I pay for something and it ends up being disappointing.
I listened to an audio book kinda thing of someone reading the first Twilight book with funny voices once, so I can attest that it's pretty bad.I used to only read free online stuff because, well, it's free, and I like how you can communicate with the authors so easily. Recently, though, I've been reading a lot more published stuff. I think my standards have increased to the point that it's difficult to find anything for free that I can really enjoy. Hell, it's pretty hard to find any published stuff I enjoy too.
I only read original m/m stuff and I'm pretty fussy when it comes to good grammar and structure. I have a short attention span and don't like much contemporary stuff (mostly I like fantasy). So it is REALLY DIFFICULT.
I just found a new webcomic, Boned. I really like the art and there's the beginnings of some interesting looking plot going down.
Sounds like you had some eventful weather, if nothing else!Christmas in the sun has been predictably hot, but not too bad. The Doctor Who Christmas special was great, as Doctor Who always is. I think we usually get new episodes not too long after you. We had to wait until the day after Christmas to see the Christmas special.
Yeah, they can be a bit noisy sometimes but usually they're fine. They're really fearless, too. Many of them will just take food from your hand.
Merry Christmas! Hope you have fun :)I've heard there are wild deer around here somewhere, but I've never seen them. We have possums, but we've had possums in the roof of just about every house I've ever lived in. A found a dead sea turtle once.
We just had Christmas dinner. Delicious :)
No, she only brought back the stick I threw. It is a pretty cool name! It's Aboriginal. And yes, it is a lot less busy than Brisbane, which is nice. Lots of beach and bushland and kangaroos. The uni I was going to has kangaroos inhabiting its sports fields. You sure don't get that in most parts of Brisbane.
Yes, it can certainly be humid! It's quite a bit cooler this close to the ocean, though. We can get a ton of jellyfish, mostly in the summer, though they're mostly ones with a fairly mild sting. I've never been stung, but then we only moved near the beach earlier this year. I've seen the occasional blue bottle which I've heard can sting like a bitch. Anything deadly is really rare, though. We had some crazy flooding in Brisbane last year where I used to live. Here's a picture of the flooding at the end of our street (and my dog): http://s211.beta.photobucket.com/user...
Luckily, our house was on higher ground.
You've had extreme weather too? And yet so many people still deny climate change. Try not to drown.
Yeah, it was about as cleverly thought out as most apocalypse theories, it was just better publicised than most. I kind of like apocalypse theories, actually. So often people have irrational ideas that can never really be proven or disproved, which is frustrating. At least with apocalypses the date passes, nothing happens, and then the believers have to accept they were wrong and move on.
On the coast of Queensland, Australia. We have all the heat and sunshine, though would often prefer we didn't. Good beach weather, though.
What have you got planned for the holidays? My sister's coming down and we shall eat a lot of food. Maybe go swimming at the beach. And, of course, I will be watching the Doctor Who Christmas special. And playing whichever computer game my mum gets me for Christmas.
Ooh yes, Demon of the Underground! I love that one. So funny and such great art.Enthrall always weirdly reminds me of a Sherlock fan comic because two of the main characters look like how I've seen people people draw Sherlock and John. I like the comic, though.
I'm not sure how many of those have been rec'd on TSP... Demon of the Underground has been, but I'm unsure on the others.
That's a pretty good theory too! Some people also think it looks like some kind of sex toy, so there's that too.
