I am nearly done with Appendix N. I had to laugh though when I found it had appendix's as well LOL

Just started reading this book and so far I am really liking it. Makes me want to really dig in and read all the stuff I haven't read LOL

Just finished reading
The Fortunes of Brak and I found it to be pretty good. I did enjoy that it was chronological in nature so you get to see a progression in his life as he makes his way to Khurdisan.

Not currently reading it but has anybody seen that there is a new J.R.R. Tolkien book coming out in August of 2018? The Fall of Gondolin. I just noticed it for pre-order on Amazon.

Found a copy on Ebay and snagged it up. Also found a copy of Appendix N for a fair price on Amazon so I can't wait to get them in the mail :-)

Have read most of the Brak books and have enjoyed them quite a bit but didn't know about the Fortunes of Brak so will have to go and find that one!

Very nice! I can imagine that will be a fun read. Definitely adding it to my buy list.

Yeah Lin Carter is usually hit and miss at times for me but I do like to give him the benefit of the doubt

Hit up the local used bookstore the other day and found me a few beauties!
Ylana Of Callisto,
Giant of World's End,
Heroic Visions which contains the first publication of Fritz Leiber's Fafhrad and the Gray Mousers novella "The Curse of the Smalls and the Stars", and last but not least
Kandar. So many books and so little time.

I have felt that way about a number of series. Unfortunately when I reread them they don't always have the same pizzaz that they once did. But fortunately my memory is failing me more and more so give me a few more years and they will all be new again :-) LOL

Love this series as well. I have only gotten a handful of books in to the series but it is a fun series so far. Definitely the kind of series that is great to read when you want some fast paced adventure that can be read all in a relatively short sitting.

I have the same problems whether I read physical or e-books LOL. I used to wonder why I was so spastic in my reading habits but nowadays I just go with the flow. Better trying to read 10 books at once than be in a rut where I am not reading at all, like I am right now.

Yes but not sure if he was British. His last works were being translated from German.

It has been a hard one to work on. I think there is still some that still need to be translated.

Such a terrible position to be in :-)

Sweet deal Jack! I made off like a bandit yesterday at the used bookstore as well. Almost finished off my Dray Prescott series of books and found several of the Year's Best Horror series that was edited by Karl Edward Wagner.

From 2004, it would seem that there wasn't a good enough response to do them all I guess. To bad though.
