Finished Almuric by Robert E Howard and thus ends my REH reading spree. Now to figure out what to read next lol.

S.E. wrote: I have all four of James Silke's Deathdealer (read the first three). Never felt compel..." Same here I read the first three way back in the 90's, and though I remember enjoying them I definitely need to reread them and they are on the stack once again.

I looked at the Planet Stories that are out and they have alot of great stuff there. I ended up getting Elak of Atlantis by Henry Kuttner and The Ship of Ishtar by A Merritt as well as Black Gods and Scarlet Dreams. Can't wait for them to get here! Definitely a series of books I will spend my money on to get.

Thanks Phil! I will definitely look for those books. I have a paperback collection of the Northwest Smith tales but I haven't read them over twenty years so I have completely forgotten anything about them.

Finished reading Black God's Kiss by C.L. Moore, what a great story. I need to find more of her works with this character. Also finished She Devil by REH and those were a bunch a great stories indeed. Lots of action and well just great fun to read! Getting ready to start on REH's Three Bladed Doom next and hopefully it will be another great read too.

Give in to blind chance David. Just close your eyes, twirl around, and then reach out and be surprised! lol

Finished The Lost Valley of Iskander by Robert E Howard, at least two of the three stories were really good. Looking forward to reading the rest of the El Borak stories. Starting on The Black Gods kiss by C.L. Moore and The She Devil by REH which is a collection of his stories from Spicey Adventure Stories publication. I hope they are good.

LOL yeah I know. I am determined though. Considering all the variances of opinions about the series, I just got to read it for myself. And with all the new authors and stacks of books already at hand it will be difficult no doubt.

HAHA Yeah no battle royale's, but I can still appreciate how fast they wrapped up the stories back then.
(view spoiler)[ It was similar in Carmilla but I feel her ending had a more powerful effect on me when I read it.(view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

Really enjoyed the article Charles. Gave me a few new authors to hunt down.

Frankenstein is on my reading list so hopefully getting to it within the month or so.
Not sure I would consider Dracula a masterpiece Michael : ) don't get me wrong it was a good read but so anti-climatic that I damn near threw the book down lol.
Hear lots of good stuff about Black God's Kiss I have it on my reader ready to go after I get done with REH's The Lost Valley of Iskander.

Made it through the first three Gor books so far and they are ok. Nothing to jump up and down about. But I am determined to finish the whole series so hopefully by next year ...

Just finished Wolfshead and Swords of Shahrazar by Robert E Howard. Had these on the shelf forever and since the REH group was doing a "how many REH books will you read this year" I was like it is time to get down some of these titles and dig in. I can't believe I took so long to read these stories and to be honest Ali el Ghazi has become one of favorite Howard characters I think right next to Conan.
