Lena knew Hunter was a smart guy. He did fairly well in school, he was committed to his beliefs, and seldom could he be convinced to do something he didn't want to. For his young age, he was mature and well put-together. But she also knew of her powers. Of the strange ability she had gained in her early teen years, that made boys like Hunter go weak in the knees before falling on them. It was an attractive force that few could resist, and ever fewer wanted to. Lena knew this was as part of herself as her eyes or her smile, not something she could just mask or remove. Not that she wanted to. She relished in the rejuvenating force that invaded her with each new partner (or should she say victim?). She knew, thanks to her mother and grandmother's warnings, that this was her curse, to rely on others' desire for strength, and as the twisted creature that she was she would never, ever, experience love.
But right now, she wasn't thinking about love. She was thinking of ways to have fun.
Lena's lips curled up into a smile when he responded, and she massaged the back of his neck before running her hands down his arms until they met his hands. "Well," She began, leading him toward the exit. "Then let's go."

Lily had frantically texted Elise as soon as she got home after the incident, but without being too specific about who it was she was worried about killing, there wasn't much the girl could do. After receiving another one of her mother's long talks about responsibility, and apologizing to her grandfather for not arriving to her afternoon shift at the bakery, she had gone up the stairs to the apartment, brushed her teeth, put on her pajamas, and went to bed without another thought.
Or at least that was what she wished would've happened, because it took hours for her to fall asleep. As she shifted from one side of the bed to another, she couldn't help but wonder if this was it. If he was finally going to push her away and hate her forever. On one side, this meant good news. She wouldn't have to worry about his stupid smile, because it would never be directed toward her again. She would never have to deflect his jokes because he'd probably never speak to her again. She did leave him on the soccer field. All bloody.
Oh man, what had she done?
But then he had texted her. Apologizing. Joking again. Just when she thought she had him all figured out, he had to go ahead and do something like that. Lily had stared at her phone all morning, having breakfast and brushing her teeth, wondering what on earth would be a good answer for him?
oh yes i'm ok just completely traumatized by seeing you shirtless yesterday but no biggie, did you do the calc hw?
She wore her jeans and a purple sweater, her ginger hair up in a ponytail that swished with her every move. She tried to collect her bearings as she fiddled with her lock. She had a calculus quiz, but Jamie texted, and she had soccer practice, he was worried about me, and she had work at the bakery all evening, but Jamie's right next to me.
Hearing his voice made her jump a little, and she raised her eyebrows in surprise when she saw the bruise adorning his beautiful, stupid face. "I'm not afraid!" She blurted, a little too loudly, before turning back to her books with a red shade on her ears. "Of course it's not bad, I didn't hit you that hard." She rambled, hoping to get an assurance that he didn't have something worse. Like a concussion or something.

Lena furrowed her eyebrows, suddenly getting out of her bubble of "devil-may-care" attitude and noticing how worried Hunter was getting over nothing. She wasn't miss perfect, had gotten detention plenty of times, and nothing was as serious as he made it look. She just didn't think there were any real consequences to their actions. She was sure that in five years, nobody would care that they got detention over talking in chemistry class. Lena felt it was a waste of time to worry. But it appeared that Hunter didn't think that way. For some reason, he was really afraid of his parents, and Lena didn't have a reason to think otherwise. She hadn't socialized with them much, and she didn't think they were particularly fond of her. Lena might've not cared about the current consequences, but Hunter, for some strange reason, did.
"Hunter, Hunter," She said, taking his arm to stop him from walking any further. "You are making a huge deal out of this! Nobody cares about gym, I can fake a doctor's note and you're free." She reached out toward him, her hands on his neck to make sure he kept his eyes on her. She didn't know if she was trying to convince him to leave as a friend or as a succubus (she found the distinction hard to make these days), but she could feel her voice changing just slightly, her fingers tapping on his skin. "Stay."

When Colton scoffed, Alma tensed up a little. She could tell he was upset about something serious, but she really hoped he wouldn't take it out on her. The nagging question of his past surfaced again on the back of her mind. Why had he been relocated? Why was he always alone? More than outright curiosity for him, she found herself worrying for what this meant for them being partners. Would he have a dangerous past come to haunt him?
But then he just muttered something about an ex and all of Alma's crazy daydreams came floating down. Of course. People had relationship issues, heartbreak, etcetera. She wouldn't know personally, seeing as her romantic experience was that of a dorky 12 year old, but she knew of it. Maybe she should stop watching all those horror movies on the weekends. They were probably giving her a distorted view of the world.
"Oh I'm sorry man," She said, clearing her throat, "She harassing you or something?" She asked, hoping to have him let out all his steam before meeting up with the captain.

@dreamchild oh yep that works! also we need to find people for the band but i was thinking peter could post something in the warwick web once he gets his banner

@dreamchild ook, maybe it's one of those things where peter's friends with her friends and they start talking like that?

@dreamchild ok cool! i feel like peter would approach ellie and try to include her with his friends because she's alone?

@dreamchild dallas could take angela to introduce her to Warwick? also i think it would be a good time for peter and ellie to meet 👌

angela grace santos | 19 years old | female & hetero | mermaid | waitress
Angela's life was far from perfect. Just with the financial troubles and family arguments, she had enough of an excuse to drift to drugs and booze to cope with the pain. Except that she didn't. She was a pureprudeand proper girl, doing her part at home to make sure things didn't fall apart. She didn't have time to party and do other things her friends did, she was far too busy cooking and cleaning to avoid giving her father a reason to be mad. With Dallas working his ass off to keep the roof over their heads, Angela felt it was only fair that she kept whatever mess of a family together under that roof. She grew up quickly, helping Dallas with budgeting and getting groceries, doing house chores and dealing with taxes from a young age. In a way, she missed that stage of freedom and rebellion that most teenagers get in high school. She never snuck out or kissed a stranger, because she was absolutely terrified of what her father would do to her if she did.
But a lot of it was also because of how badly she wanted to make Dallas proud. Her brother who despite their father's curses and screams, was always there to support them, to support her. It was him who kept that flame of hope alive inside of her. Despite the fact that their life wasn't all rose-colored, Angela always thought that one day, maybe not too far away, things would be different. She would meet the special someone, and her life's problems would be solved. She has always been like that: optimistic, if not a little naive. She genuinely believes people are good at their core, even if at first it doesn't seem like it. Because of this she's easily manipulated, and has been played more than a couple of times, most of them where she never found out the truth.
After Dallas left, her life went into chaos. She only remained in the house for her mother, making sure her mother was safe, but when she passed away from a heart attack, there was nothing to tie her back. She followed Dallas' footsteps, going to Warwick and hoping for a new beginning, for a new life.

Lena turned the handle of the door and kept it open so that Hunter could pass through. She waved goodbye to the teacher through the small window on the door, a smug smile on her face, before turning to the boy. "You really wanted to hear him drone on for another half an hour Landon?" She said, fixing her bag on her shoulder and straightening her skirt. "Believe me, we're not missing anything life-changing here." She looked to both sides of the wide corridor, a slight echo carrying their voices. Lena figured they had enough time to sneak in one of the back doors and walk out of the school unnoticed. The only problem was convincing Hunter.
She took out her makeup bag and flicked items around until she found a small mirror and a red lipstick, not a care in the world. "You won't get killed, because you'll tell them that you were defending another student or some other chivalrous act." She popped her lips and turned to him. "I know you can come up with something."
"In the meantime," She said, putting her makeup bag back and crossing her arms, the same playful smile she had given him before on her face. "We're getting outta here."

Alma sighed, almost as if she had been the one who had just hung up a stressful call. She didn't believe in auras or energies or whatever they called them, but she hated the angry silence that had established itself comfortably on the sedan. She usually loved the silence, hearing the slight hum of the old car, letting her mind wander to what she was preparing for dinner, or what was on that night, but Colton made it different. It was painfully obvious that something was wrong, and Alma couldn't think about meat or chicken with her partner almost fuming beside her. She continued tapping on the steering wheel with her thumbs, unsure if she should ask something. On one hand, she thought it was none of her business. If she had someone meddling in her business she took it up with the captain faster than the drive thru at McDonald's. She often found that people weren't as concerned as they appeared. Most of the time they were just nosy as hell.
On the other hand, department-mandated therapists had said that sharing worries would allow partners to work better together, because they knew what the other was going through and knew how to support them. Which, yes, seemed legit, but they had also told her enroll in a painting class to express her anger, and that wasn't happening anytime soon.
Alma decided a middle ground. "Tough day, huh?" She started, keeping it open enough that he could tell her a brief explanation of his worries (she wasn't Dr. Phil either, you know), or tell her to shove it. Either way would be better than the angry silence.

@fayza ok lena and hunter sounds good! and we thought of isabella to join the group since elise and her are close friends and lily is just starting to become friends with elise. i think it could turn out to be an interesting trio of friends once lily softens up XD

Danny winced at his brother's groan, and hit the gas pedal just a little more to quicken their trip home. Jamie didn't look as bad as to need stitches or anything like that, but he did look hurt enough to have a concussion, so Danny had to keep him awake no matter what. At least until they got home and he could clean up properly. He had no idea who would be as selfish as to leave Jamie in that state, but you bet he was already planning on asking the coach to make an inquiry. Weren't they supposed to be a team? Protect each other? Or was that just some bullshit to get them to win games?
"No, we're not listening to music right now," Danny said, turning down the music and looking sideways at his brother before stopping at a red light. His silence was even more infuriating than his clearly made up excuses. It was very clear that he was trying to protect someone, prevent Danny from getting mad at him, which was very hard to begin with. But the fact that the guy hadn't even waited to see when Danny arrived...it just felt too strange to him.
"He got freaked out because of the blood, yeah, ok," He said sarcastically. "You're telling me the goalie can't stand a bloody nose?" He huffed, his eyebrows furrowed and his fingers tightly wrapped around the steering wheel. "When I tell coach someone left you like this there's gonna be hell..."
Danny usually wasn't this confrontational. In fact, if you asked anyone in school, he would be the last person to come to mind to make a big fuss with the soccer coach. But this was his brother that they were talking about. And besides, it didn't help his humor that they had argued before Jamie had left and through text. Danny still had the little prick in his heart of the earlier argument, and he didn't want to go to sleep without reaching at least some sort of resolution. He still didn't understand why Jamie couldn't support him. It hurt to see him with a purple bruise, but it also hurt, and angered really, to know that his own brother didn't have his back as Danny always did.
