721 Thanks @RitaSkeeter - ha just realised where your name comes from :) I am looking for an ebook version for my collection, but I purchased the book you linked to as it seems to be in better condition than my pre-loved copy. I'm hoping my son may read it one day soon...

721 Welcome Larissa
721 No - I can't download it, it sends me to "join" a group, asks for credit card details, and then says the book is not available :( I'ld be happy to buy the book, as I loved it dearly, I just wish it was easy to find.

Oh and be warned - it said a "free" 5 day trial, yet it charged me $34.95 same day.
721 I had missed it - but thank you. I can't believe someone found the book I was looking for, I had almost given up. It's a fabulous book for cat lovers. I did find the Warrior set, which I'm most intrigued about, and plan to read the first one at some point this year.

I have a book I received from the author that I'm trying to finish first, as well as picking some of the short read books that I've got actually read and off my to-read shelf. For example currently reading The Plagiarist by Hugh Howey.
721 Wow - oh thank you thank you. I've been looking for that book for years now, it's the only book that I've read several times and have still enjoyed with every read.
721 Wow - I don't feel so bad about my to-read shelf now, I'm worried if I look too close at your list I'll just end up increasing mine. You have a lot I haven't read, so can't give opinions on most of them.

All I can suggest is that you read more :)
721 The weather in Newcastle is horrible - we had a couple nice warm days, then back to freezing days followed by colder nights. We missed the hail storm that hit the Central Coast though. Naturally I have to go out today, so it's raining again.

@Carolyn Its a shame about the allergies, but I understand - I have a slight reaction if they scratch my skin, no where as bad as my occasional allergy to the sun though, so I put up with it :)

721 The above is no longer available :(

But the pig bath is so cute...

721 Sydney would be too far for me, but if there's another meet up on the Central Coast I could make that (I'm in Newcastle).

721 Sorry, I'm watching tv at the same time, so I probably missed the post with the date by accident.

721 Did anyone find the group mentioned above? I have a book that I've been trying to track down for 10 years now (without paying over 100 for it). Sadly it's not available on ebook, although I believe it should be, what with the success of the Warriors books, Solo's Journey would satisfy some readers.

721 Wow - I had come across the same cover for a different book once, never realised how often it could happen though.

721 so where is the next meet up and when? Does anyone have young children who's after books? My son is 11 now and we have just recently gone through the last of his books, I have a stack of kids book's that need a new home.

721 Thank you for the welcomes, with my Kindle now automatically adding the book I'm reading to goodreads, I've become a little addicted to this site, only problem I have is my to-read shelf has over 200 titles now, so I guess I'm going to have to read some more :)

721 We've done this sort of ourselves, for you tube though, using Adobe Auditions. But it's having the voice talent, as you need a voice that people would be willing to listen to.

The cost's involved with getting a professional "sound" guy can be difficult as well, as some are really into their craft, whilst others don't really care about the production, and sometimes the only way to find out which kind of guy he is, is to try him first. We've found a guy at Newcastle that seems quite good, and has the equipment we needed for our current production, but this guy had 122 different mike's, all for different occasions. Some for music, some for voice, some for particular instruments.

721 @Laura - no, I don't have a tablet, well my son does, but it's lost at his dad's somewhere, hasn't been seen in months :(

@Susan - Yes, my reading has increased since getting an ereader, the comfort level with my hands, I never realised how I only picked out small books, never read hard cover books and rarely picked up a large physical book, simply because most of my reading is late at night with a night light. Since having an ereader, I have tackled many "larger" books that I have previously avoided, as well as getting through a couple books a month (I'm still a slow reader).
721 The book was published in 1987, so not on Gutenberg :( As far as I can tell the publishers are now part of Penguin Books, but the only contact is an overseas number for me. It's a shame, it was such a beautiful book. But thank you for the info, I was curious.
721 Out of curiosity - I have a favourite book of mine that's falling apart, it was 3rd or 4th hand when I got the book. Anyway the thing is I can't find the book available on ebook anywhere - is there a way to request a book be turned into a ebook? I could type the book up myself, but obviously I don't have the right too, but Solo's Journey was such a sweet tale that should be shared. Even in physical form it is hard to track down this book.
721 I'm a recovering agoraphobic, so going to the local shop is an adventure for me :) I escape/travel with books.
721 Just wanted to say hello from Newcastle (NSW) and see if anyone else has an interest in pet rats?
