70438 I am currently reading Sanctus by Simon Toyne because I had won The Key by Simon Toyne which is the 2nd book in the sequel. When (and if) I finish both of those, it will be on to Death and the Girl Next Door (Darklight, #1) by Darynda Jones for this month's theme book.

Yes I did see Wicked-- another great show!!"

I saw it twice! I absolutely loved it! How about Lion King, Mama Mia, Fiddler on the Roof, Phantom of the Opera, Menopause, and others?

I was wondering if it's imperative to read book 1 and 2 of the Song of Ice and Fire series or can they stand alone?

70438 I have decided to read the following: The Magic of Finkleton (Finkleton, #1) by K.C. Hilton and Return to Finkleton (Finkleton, #2) by K.C. Hilton .

Then I must read a classic, so I am going to read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen but it's in a book called 25 Favorite Novels (Anne of Green Gables/Avonlea, Pride & Prejudice, Emma, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, Tess of the D'Urbervilles, Little Women, My Antonia, More) by Jane Austen It has numerous books by Jane Austen, Emily Bronte, and others.

School starts for me on Monday, August 6, so not sure how much tine I'll have to read in the next 9 months or so other than "essays" but I'll do my best to read what I want!

70438 Hi Deshanta, how exciting to be from Johannesburg! Do you still live there?

I want to get into autobiographies more. but so many bore me. :o(

70438 Oh, yeah! Good idea Sara! I can start the year with Romeo and Juliet instead of with it (I have freshmen). Then I could kill 2 birds with 1 stone! LOL

But I know that one like the back of my hand. I am just SO sad to go back to school and have little time for my own personal reading. You know what I mean? :o(

70438 Thanks, Michaela. I just want to read EVERYTHING! LOL

Thanks, Dana. I am also looking into a couple books set in England and potentially for my students to read, if they are low level/high interest books. My daughter teaches Read 180, so she's always looking. Have you read or heard of these books?

70438 I purchased this awesome book for my NOOK for only .99! It has many books set in England. I think I'll start with Pride and Prejudice, but if anyone is well read in Jane Austen, would you please look at the stories in this book and tell me if there might be a better one with which to start...I'd much appreciate. Thanks!

I'm in central California, and I saw the Lion King in Sacramento. :o) I was overcome with emotion when I saw the Phantom on Broadway...cried right after sitting down BEFORE the musical began! LOL
