I appreciate your support, and can see nothing wrong in group members sharing and inspiring each other. In fact, that is the best way to ensure that this group thrives in the future. Just talking about my work is fun for me--but for others, it may get old after a while.
As you may know I have posted an entry titled "Can We Inspire Each Other" on my blog, talking about ways that artists can come together:
"This is a story of collaboration between three artists: Albert Setton, Ettore Andreani, and yours truly, combining forces to create a single, cross-inspired project. In the beginning, we decided that each one of us will crawl back into his or her cave to create an initial sketch. What would it be about? We didn't know at first, but because we share an affinity to mythological themes, we agreed to have the sketch refer to one of the stories in Greek mythology. Also, we decided on the overall size of the paper; so by the time we met, we had three art pieces, each 30"x24"."

You are welcome, Angela, to post your poem about New Orleans right here, if you wish.

Angela, I enjoy so much doing radio interviews! How can I say no?
Would love to talk about my book, and about Katrina. It took me a whole summer think up the composition, then to complete it. In my own way, I got to 'live' and 'outlive' the storm... Although I can't imagine what you went through.

Hi everyone! Here is my interview this morning, hosted by Author Yolanda M Johnson-Bryant at The Author's Hideaway. The best thing about it: I didn't break a leg!

Your own writing, from what I have seen, is a testament of your creativity. And yes, like you my hope is that this group will grow and flourish.

Thank you Angela, I truly appreciate your proactive attitude and enthusiasm.

;)

Me too, Christine!

Wow Jason, I don't know how I missed your note here! Thank you for sharing your story here. I have just voted on it.

The protagonist goes through a roller-coaster ride of emotions, which as you say we all hope not to have to take--but sometimes, we do.

;)

I know what you mean.

Like you I love the feel of the cover and the rustle of the pages.

Bless you Christine! Let me know if you get it and as you read it, what your thoughts were.

Since we talk about baking, and since I love decorating my cakes, here's a link to the the last piece of a layered Ice Cream Birthday cake I made for my loved one! The chess pieces on top are hand-made from marzipan.

Best of luck Jason with
His Calling and with the Q&A group, I've joined already. I feel as if we have a cross-polination of ideas between creative minds!

Indeed, I see more and more people in airports enjoying a read on their tablet. An additional consideration is library space. Just last night I spoke with friends of mine, who sold their home, donated their books and are now free spirits, on the move. For them an e-reader would be perfect.
