{OMFG ROBINROBINROBIN BELLA IS HYSTERICAL. DTGVUJNUCSES I DIED. XDAnd yaaaaays Frances can be Guard Dude, who now has a proper name! :D woot woot!}
Max watched the entire escapade fighting to remain silent, eyes flickering from Bella to Lynne and Toph as they went back and forth. He made a mental remark that the odds of getting away with his horrific act were very much in his favor. No weapons, no blood, and not a word from his mouth gave him away. Max involuntarily flinched at the sudden sharpness of Bella as she snapped at the servant.
Treasure Ducky wrote: "I trespassed on Camp Deer Lake property, walked around the block in the rain, and explored a gorgeous house for sale 2 streets away, so I win.Mainly because of the trespassing bit. XD"
Swag. Ducky wins. Cause trespassing, duh.
His brow furrowed with worry, but he just gave a nod of his head and stared intently at the floor, concern written across his face. However his head snapped up seconds later at the sound of feet bounding down the hall and into Bella's room- Lynne and a guard.{BAM. Okay now Robin can take over Guard-Dude.}
{Aww yissss! ^_^ That is so swaggie. Vat shall we call him?}The guard stared at her, raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean murder? Did John put you up to this? God, he's been hassling me all-" He paused, seeming to notice the servant's genuine panic. "You're not...?" His expression dawned with sudden alarm. He started briskly down the hallway, nodding hurriedly for her to follow. "Show me where you just came from."
Max couldn't believe she was trying to help him lie to her own people. But he shook his head. "That servant- Lynne. She saw- saw me... bent over him when I..." He cringed. "She's probably gone to tell someone."
{Thank you dearie. :3 }He finally turned to look at her, stunned. Oh Bella, you are too kind to me. How can you even stand to be around me? Nonetheless, gratitude mingled with his surprise. "I don't... I wish I could just fix it. But then..." He touched her cheek. "It isn't as if I have a history of fixing things."
{I can be a guard for now, but I don't wanna talk to myself, so can someone take Guard Man from me later to avoid that?}{Oh yeeeeaaah the queen... *headdesk*}
A guard was wandering the halls in bored silence, gazing idly at the castle walls when he heard the sound of frantic footsteps. Whipping around, he blinked as Lynne came skidding up to him. "Can I help you, ma'am?"
After a moment, Max gave a slight nod. "Okay." He couldn't just leave her. He couldn't just run. He disappeared once again into the tower and stepped into Bella's room again. He averted his eyes from the body and went to her side. "Bella, I..." His eyes wandered away from her as well, and he thought dully as he spoke that he was running out of places to look. "I killed that man." His voice broke slightly on the word.
Oh my god I love him so much!!! XD For a while I was talked into believing he was dead! I had a heart attack, lemme tell ya. Whenever we watch Bill Nye in school everybody yells at me because I sing the song. X3
He stood, and in the silence of the night, he caught the soft sound of her voice. He looked up at her from the ground, face so pale it was like a piece of moon. He said nothing at first, just gazed at Bella. Finally he spoke. "Do you know what I've done?"
No. He couldn't have... No.But he remembered. He remembered the deathly, silver-eyed monster locked in a lulling calm. A few murmered words in that voice and-
I killed him. Monster. I killed a man.
He looked at Bella, the glow in his eyes flickering like dying candlelight. "I'm sorry." Max tore from the room and kept running, knowing all the time that he couldn't run from himself.
"I..." He stared at her, face twisted with confusion. Then realization hit him and fear knotted in his stomach as he turned around. His expression turned slack with consuming horror. He stared at the glaze-eyed man splayed out on the floor. And I don't think you should wake up...For a moment he said nothing, just sat there, stunned into silence.
Max ignored her threatening tone and reached again for Bella. Sitting down on the edge of the bed, he gently lifted her some, then pulled her into his arms. "Bella, please. Wake up, love," he murmured.
He froze. Suddenly his silver-burning eyes were wild, his mind a tangled mess he didn't bother trying to sort out. Instead of relaxing into the feeling of a lulling dream, he tried frantically to grasp the feeling of slipping reality. What's happening to me I can't see where is she where is Bella my love where are you? He abruptly stood and whipped around, stumbling to the bedside where she lay. Despite the mess inside his mind, his reached out with completely gentleness and slid his hand into hers. "Bella, Bella..." For the first time he acknowledged the presence of Lynne, gazing at her, as if through her, with his glazed, frantic eyes. "What happened to her?" he breathed, touching the soft beat at Bella's wrist for reassurance.
