Jink saw the snake tense and silently disappeared into another bush. He slinked closer and closer to it, concealed in the bushes, until he was directly in back of it. He waited silently for a moment. Then he leaped out and lounged for the snake, jaws open, sharp teeth at the ready.

At the sound of a threatening hiss, Jink gave a low, apprehensive growl and peered through the bushes. Rattlesnake. Dangerous, but eatable. Jink was getting extremely hungry. He tensed his muscles in caution and creeped out of the bushes, his bright green eyes on his new-found prey.

Wait...Are you actually typing this jazz? XD

Jink hid in a cluster of large bushes, awaiting an unknowing deer or some other decent-sized prey. Hiding in the shadows was necessary for stealth, since there was no cover of darkness to hunt in currently. The warm patches of sunlight streaming through the tree's leaves above him were very tempting. He was about to slink out of the bushes and go bask in the sun when he heard voices somewhere nearby. A bunch of humans fooling around in his territory, he thought, dryly. He retreated reluctantly into the bushes again.
