Violet fidgeted. "Yeah, this is Corrin. He works at the hospital."

{She wants information out of him, I think.}

{Corrin's like 'Shoot! I was just starting to make out with this super cute/intelligent girl of my dreams and this dirty weirdo had to ruin it!' XD XD }

Violet emerged from the shelves and smiled as she saw Damian. She pushed thoughts of Corrin out of her head. "DAMIAN!" She ran over to the door, where he was standing, soaking wet and dripping all over the mat. She gave him a loose hug, trying to stay dry. "Can I get you a towel? We can pop into my apartment and I'll grab you one."

{Uh oh. Lynne better watch out!}

Bella pouted, as Lynne opened the door. "But we were just starting with Landon!" she whined.

Violet's eyes widened in surprise as she felt warmth press against her lips, stopping her midsentence. Then, she slowly closed them, leaning into Corrin, kissing him back. Suddenly she heard the ding of the shop's front door opening. She quickly pulled away and weaved through a few shelves, contemplating what had just happened, and to greet the customer.

{Now cue awkward exit of Corrin and hesitant entrance of Damian!}

{Yay to being speechless! I believe this is your cue to go 'Corrin was speechless. His mind wandered, and then, he found himself leaning towards Violet, who was talking. Then, his lips pressed hers...'}

{I've never seen the Notebook. Heard it was sad.}

{It took me a bit to come up with a good lie.}

Amy shrugged. "It seems like the kinda thing that would matter to someone who's the heir to a throne of a religious country. And who I am I to know what Robert's believes towards religion are?"

Violet grinned shyly. "You're just really special to me
'cause it's so hard for me to find people who like me for who I am...But you're different."

{NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!}

Amy smiled politely. "I think you misheard me. Robert did ask me to the ball, but I said 'What if he finds out I'm not prayerful. I'm atheist."

Violet laughed. "They're the kind of guests who go with the 'Guests are like fish-they stink after three days', huh!" she laughed some more. "But you're more of a cup of tea-I can't wait to spend time with you, and you make me happy!"

Amy gave a brave smile. "Right. I got this. And he's actually supposed to be here soon-I talked to him about being here at 8:00 all ready." She hovered at the balconey. "Lulu...What if he finds out I'm not royal?"

Violet shrugged. "I'm catering a bit with Lulu and Posy over at Posy's Bakery, but I haven't heard that much. I guess the King and Queen have been thinking about marrying off Bella, and that the balls would be the perfect time to announce an engagement. I also heard that Bella might be smitten with some Prince Robert. But that's it. I know this guy, Neil, who works in the castle, so I might hear more later." She smiled. "So, how's life?"

Violet dumped the bag on a vacant chair and grabbed two mugs of tea and some snacks and sandwiches. She placed them on the table in front of the couch and flopped down on said couch. The fireplace in front of them was roaring.

{What? I thought they were buddies. They seemed to get along well before...}

{I know! I heard. They were good books.}
