Hi Laura! Looks like you're crushing your goal! But more importantly, I hope that you've been able to focus on the fun of reading. I totally understand and can relate to how it can feel like a chore. Some years ago, I was so burnt out from trying to complete challenges. Challenges that I really didn't need to complete by year's end. I don't think I read for the first couple of months of the new year.

It's important to enjoy yourself on your reading journey. I hope you are enjoying lots of fun and fantastic books. Happy reading!

Hi La Mariane! Looks like you're making great progress on your goal. And despite your reading slump! I am so impressed, and inspired, by your reading plan! Currently doing mental gymnastics to see if I can somehow swing this literature degree in the latter half of the year while still reading what I plan and "need" to read....

I've been making my way through Jane Austen as well. Though with a more modest goal of one a year. I've found that I need to read her books more than once to appreciate them. I'm reading Pride and Prejudice again for the 5th or 6th time but I do love this book. At this point, I've read all Austen's major works except Lady Susan. That'll be put on my TBR for next year. I hadn't realized that it was an epistolary.

Hi Kalyn! Hope all is well! Looks like you are making great progress on your goal and enjoying some amazing books. I love The Shadowhunter Chronicles. I wasn't too sure when Cassandra Clare kept continuing the series. But nope, still loved them.

I hope you get to read the classics and older books like you want to. I've been trying to do that,too. I've been working my way through Jane Austen.

Hope you've been successful in branching out into other genres. Not that there's anything wrong with crime, thrillers, and classics. Crime, thrillers and mysteries are my favorite genres to read. But I get it. The challenges were instrumental in helping me explore other genres.

I'm a huge fan of Studio Ghibli films, too. I've watched many of them. I had read Howl's Moving Castle and thought it was okay. Then I watched the movie. When I re-read the book, I enjoyed it much better after having watched the movie.
