Knightmare noticed Ranger and he offered him a shy smile as he awaited Cobra's response.

Knightmare saw Cobra's brake lights glow and began to slow down as well. He followed the viper into a driveway. He pulled up alongside the driver's side window, waited for Cobra to roll the window down, and asked, "Where can I put this?"

Knightmare glanced in his mirror and saw Ranger's yellow corvette trailing them. An involuntary shiver went up his spine at the thought of being in the car, alone, with Ranger. Would Cobra be better? He roughly shook his head.
If I can't handle Ranger, then I don't deserve to be here, he thought.

Knightmare followed Cobra through the street, reluctantly at first. Several thoughts swirled around in his mind and he tried his best to concentrate on a single one but to no avail. He shook his head roughly to clear all thoughts out. With a sigh, he was finally able to settle on a blank mind. No point in wondering what the future would bring when it was nearly there.

Knightmare mounted his bike again. "Lead the way," he told Cobra.

Knightmare blushed. "O-okay," he said. "We'll take my bike to Cobra's and then I'll ride with Ranger," he agreed. He gulped, hoping he hadn't made the wrong decision.

Knightmare nodded. "All right," he agreed. "But that doesn't mean it will
stay there. I haven't made up my mind about that yet."

Knightmare cocked his head at Cobra, picking up on his apprehension. He wanted to ask about it but decided not to. "Were you planning on racing over there?" he asked instead.

Knightmare shivered, with pleasure or fear he was unsure. "I'll remember that," he said. He turned away slightly. "And leave my bike here?" he asked, turning back. "That is, if I ride with one of you."

"I'll consider it," Knightmare said. His biggest concern remained with his mother. Despite her being in the hospital 99% of the time, wouldn't she notice that he was no longer going to school? That, and his twin brother Stacy would definitely notice.

Knightmare's frown deepened. "I can be kicked out of school, thrown in jail, my life ruined," he said.
Not to mention my poor mother's, he added mentally.

Knightmare frowned again. "Anyone that could connect my face. I know street racers show up on the news all the time. What if my school principal just so happened to be watching the news when my face appeared on the screen?"

Knightmare frowned. "I'd rather keep my identity covered in the event that the wrong person sees me. I'd like to be a racer and continue to live my normal life," he replied.

Knightmare glanced between them. "I think I'll take my bike," he replied. "Would be kind of awkward for me to sit in a car wearing my helmet."

Knightmare looked to Ranger, wondering what was so important about Strike County. Something about America's Most Wanted came into his head. A street racer on that list? He could have sworn it was the name of a car but he couldn't remember and he wasn't about to ask.

((Yeah, it seems to be a lot of work))
Knightmare nodded. "You said you'd take me," he supplied, though not exactly comfortable of riding in Cobra's car.
((In Strike, we're skipping to when Trick is out of the hospital, right?))

((Yeah. I wish I had one myself but I wouldn't want to clean up after it :P)
Knightmare nodded. "Were we going to Strike?" he asked. "Or did you want to wait on that?"

((O.o Nope! I live out in Hick'sville so we have a lot of horse people))
Knightmare smiled, somehow liking the blush. He turned and looked at Ranger then back to Cobra. "What now?"

((Sorry, went to my friend's and rode her horse))
Knightmare barked a laugh. "If anything, I'm heterophobic!" he said. "Seriously, though. . . . I am gay myself."

"Homophobic? Like afraid of gays or afraid of Homo sapiens?" he asked, screwing his face up.
