51477 Made it through Ember (Death Collectors, #1) by Jessica Sorensen , it did improve towards the end. I gave it 3.5 for the twists that sucked me in later in the story, but it needs some serious editing for mistakes and it was just too choppy and theatrical for me to really love it.

I'm determined to finish A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole tonight, and I'm reading Hearts in Darkness by Laura Kaye for Smut Monday and I'm SO relieved it's short!! LOL

51477 Wow, I really hate to say this but Ember (Death Collectors, #1) by Jessica Sorensen is just painful so far. SO completely far-fetched, disorganized, insta-love, and random shit going on that I can't even keep up with. Ugh, I love Jessica but this is going to be a rough one.

Okay, I checked on all the dates for these to write them down, looks like Wethering the Storm is pushed back to Aug. 20 so that's a bit of a break! Thank God, I'll be dropping others for that one, too!! =)

It's not a problem though, u can go back without it being ruined!

Yeah, I won't be reading the YA version after this so it doesn't matter for me, but the whole thing seems silly!

I signed up to do blog reviews for both of her new NA versions without having read either YA series first. I'm SO glad I hadn't, because they definitely weren't good enough that I would have been thinking "oh this is amazing, if only it were sexier!". LOL I really liked SP, and so far Ember is good, but they're not outstanding.

Is the YA version not listed separately on GR? I know she made both with her The Fallen Star (Fallen Star, #1) by Jessica Sorensen
Shattered Promises (Shattered Promises, #1) by Jessica Sorensen series, but they're listed on here separately. I only see Ember listed as the one I'm reading, the NA story, but with both pictures: Ember (Death Collectors, #1) by Jessica Sorensen Ember (Death Collectors, #1) by Jessica Sorensen (which is what I'm reading, I switched the previous post).

LMAO I feel like I'm permanently behind!! I love this thread and adore you all, but I'm going to seriously lose it from lack of sleep with all these books everyone's reminding me about!! ={

51477 Flew through Darkness Before Dawn (Darkness, # 2) by Claire Contreras today and it was absolutely incredible!! Rips your heart out a dozen ways 'til Sunday, but GAH! Damn, I love Blake and Cole!!

I've been slowly reading A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole , but it got reaaaaally good today and I don't know if I can step away now!! Tossing in Ember (Death Collectors, #1) by Jessica Sorensen so I can scratch off another blog review, and I really want to get through Refugee (The Captive, #3) by Erica Stevens before the fourth book comes out this month!!

Shit, I need to update my list...well, thank you for that, wench. =P

Epilogue (The Dark Duet, #2.5) by C.J. Roberts is the one that's going to shove any and all other books away for the duration of the read, the others I can just whittle away at. And like you, I'm still not caught up on this month's debuts, so my new motto is "whatthefuckever"!!! LOL

I've found this to be a very common misconception, Laura. Before I picked up the series, I was told by 3 different people that The Warlord Wants Forever (Immortals After Dark, #1) by Kresley Cole was written AFTER A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole , and it was you that set me straight as well. I don't know how the rumor got started, but it's definitely something that a good percentage of her readers find to be true! LOL
