51477 Okay, finished To Serve is Divine (The Divine Trilogy, #1) by R.E. Hargrave and I was impressed! Definitely one hot dom/sub story, and the BDSM was very realistic and wasn't cheesed up to make it more of a romance. May start the sequel this week!!

51477 I'm trying out To Serve is Divine (The Divine Trilogy, #1) by R.E. Hargrave , despite the fact that it's another dom/sub story. The fact that it's consensual is making it a much more enjoyable read so far, though, and damn Jayden is smoking hot!!

Ha, it's nothing personal, believe me. I'm just on the fence about recommending it because it was really, really difficult to get through. More so than Dark Duet. I actually dreaded picking it back up at times because I wasn't sure I could take any more!!

Yeah, it's far more depressing and leaves you feeling completely hopeless while it's all happening. At least with Dark Duet you could see the emotions in Caleb as he was putting Livvie through it, and that's not at all the case here. What the characters go through blew past sadism and went straight to horrific physical and emotional abuse. For more than 80% of the 400 page book. It's crazy intense.

I know, right?! I'd be happy to just have that cover on my iPad, whether or not it ever gets read. LOL

51477 It's 2AM and I just finished The Tied Man (The Tied Man, #1) by Tabitha McGowan . I'm at a loss here, this book ripped me apart and I don't know if I can calm myself down enough to get some sleep tonight!! Absolutely the most sickeningly disturbing story I've ever read, by FAR, with the most disgusting characters you can imagine. This makes Seduced in the Dark look like child's play, people, no joke.

I finished This Time Around by Ellie Grace this morning, which would have been a great sweet romance to shake my thoughts away right now! Definitely reading something else light next, my nerves need a break!

Well I'll keep you posted, I've been waiting to get to it for the same reason but I just wanted a switch-up from the NA rut I'm in. It's definitely a change!! LOL

51477 Wow, lots of great books on here and I'm so far behind I won't be able to catch up with posts! LOL

I'm working on The Tied Man (The Tied Man, #1) by Tabitha McGowan and it's already messing with my head at just 25% in. It's actually affecting my mood as I'm reading it, I can see why some of my friends warned me that it took them weeks to read because they kept stepping away to clear their minds. Definitely a mindf*ck and I haven't even gotten to the hardcore stuff, I'm assuming!
