Yay! I'm waiting on the next one:)"

I know! Can't wait for Rome. It just has to be good :-)"

I need to get to these, I'd heard a lot about them and bumped them up, but others kept getting in the way!

51477 Well, Heavy Metal (Goddesses Rising, #2) by Natalie J. Damschroder was pretty good, but didn't hook me for the series by any means. I need to start Some Like It Spicy (A Perfect Recipe #1) by Robbie Terman but I was just sent the ARC of Come Together (The Cityscape Series, #3) by Jessica Hawkins so I'm dropping EVERYTHING for this!!!

51477 Annie wrote: "Erin, I want to read that. Sounds good. As long as she's not as bad as Kiera, I'll go batty here and there. But she better not drive me double batty, I'll chuck the book and be done."

She's much worse than Kiera IMO. You'll see what I mean when you read it, but it's set up so you automatically feel differently about the characters than you do in the typical sweet guy vs. the sexy-as-hell bad boy. The are aspects of the plot that made this so very wrong, but I really loved that it wasn't the typical ending we always get with these love triangles. It was completely unexpected, so as much as I hate her, I'm happy with what happened. Definitely going to be some very mixed opinions depending on which "team" the reader is on!! =/

51477 Well, Arsen by Mia Asher was one hell of a heavy read and had my emotions all over the map. It's definitely going to be a favorite around here, I'm certain, but wow did Cathy's selfishness drive me batty.

On to Heavy Metal (Goddesses Rising, #2) by Natalie J. Damschroder for a break from the emotional reads, then Some Like It Spicy (A Perfect Recipe #1) by Robbie Terman and maybe finally Of Triton (Of Poseidon, #2) by Anna Banks

Yeah, I need to just bite the bullet and make room for it. After reading Arsen I am in serious need of a good old PNR or YA, so it may be sooner rather than later!

I stopped at the first VA too, I just couldn't get into the characters. To me they weren't anywhere near as likable as Jen's. I'll read it eventually, but whereas I couldn't STOP reading Covenant, I'm going to have to make myself go back to VA!!

I agree; there's a definite similarity with some aspects of it, but then there are also a multitude more differences and uniquenesses to Half Blood that make it clearly it's own story. IF Jen got her inspiration from VA, so be it; she certainly wasn't copyrighting the story by any means, and she created an outstanding series from that one lightbulb of inspiration. As far as I'm concerned, HB was a much more engaging story with more likable characters anyway, no offense to Mead.

You may be the inspiration I need to make myself finally read Of Triton (Of Poseidon, #2) by Anna Banks !! All this raving about the series is making me want to get to the next one. =) Glad you're loving it, hun!

51477 Ditto Belkis' comment here! Just got back in town, sorry to be MIA and hope everyone has had a great weekend. Finished up chick lit Blogger Girl by Meredith Schorr which was a cute read, and Control by Charlotte Stein which was anything BUT cute because holy hell it was HOT HOT HOT. *wipes brow* Definitely a fun guilty pleasure read if you need one!

Picking up an ARC of Arsen by Mia Asher with some hesitation because I know it's going to tie me in knots...can't wait to discuss this one on here with some of you in the future!!
