They definitely have some good scenes, but I wouldn't call it a 'chapter 62' by any means. I was more impressed with the emotional connection in this one, it made everything that much sexier!!

51477 So I finished I Stand Before You (Judge Me Not, #1) by S.R. Grey and it was meh. Way too much telling instead of showing, and I swear if I read the "my girl" or "my guy" cutesy names one more time I was going to scream! The writing wasn't bad per se, but lord she needs to move past the nicknames.

On the bright side, I'm currently reading Fighting Fate (Granton University, #1) by Linda Kage which is SO heart-wrenchingly beautiful and I am absolutely loving it!!

The GYP series is awesome, Cooksey is a laugh riot!! Glad you enjoyed it!

Starting Half-Blood (Covenant, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout"

I agree, I was really disappointed in GR. Loved the first, this one was a miss!

Wasn't it, though?! I've been itching to get to Angel for weeks now, that series is just so intense. Make sure you read 0.5-0.7 next!! =)

I know a lot of people were really disappointed in the last book, but hopefully that won't be the case for you!

51477 Finally finished Fate and Fury (The Grey Wolves, #6) by Quinn Loftis , it was good but a bit over-indulgent IMO. Of course there's another cliffie, but at least there's no wait now!

Oh, that book had me all kinds of miffed!! She was so indecisive and strung them both along. Too much of the story was skimmed over with time shifts, too, it was frustrating.

51477 Finished Wicked Heat (Feel the Heat#1) by Nicola Marsh , it was a great quick steamy read when you're in the mood.

Still slowly working my way through Fate and Fury (The Grey Wolves, #6) by Quinn Loftis , lordy this is a long book and I think the plethora of characters and POV switches is too much for a tired brain. =/ It's good though.

Going to start I Stand Before You (Judge Me Not, #1) by S.R. Grey for blog review tomorrow.

Sorry it didn't impress, hun. I do think this is one of those books that isn't for everyone even though I loved it, it's different. =)

Glad you loved it, hun! I really ended up liking it but I've yet to get back to the sequel, I'm looking forward to seeing what you think!

Yeah, she's rough around the edges for awhile but she grows up a lot as the story goes on

I'm so happy you're enjoying it, hun, she's definitely a great writer. Especially since I was trying to sell you on this series!! LOL I think it may just be that I've gotten too used to the deeper relationships that come with other genres, because it's otherwise an awesome series.

It's different, for sure, but I ended up LOVING it. The tone of the story is unlike anything I'd read, and it has an absolutely beautiful love story that comes out of something really unexpected. Don't give up yet, hopefully it'll win you over soon and the rest will have you hooked. Seriously. LOL But if not, don't shoot the messenger. ;-)

51477 I'm probably going to be in the minority here, but I wasn't all that impressed with Thornhill (Hemlock, #2) by Kathleen Peacock . Maybe I'm just more into the NA and PNRs these days, but the YA paranormal stories without the deep emotions and physical connections that other series have just don't grab me anymore (in comparison, JLA's YA series with a lot of both always suck me in). This was kind of tame in both areas, so though the storyline was well-written I didn't feel connected to the characters as much. Loved the first one, so I'm bummed!

Annie, no!!! Okay, so I'm going to be completely honest. Gabriella was one of those characters you want to strangle for a portion of this first book. She didn't impress me much for awhile. BUT, I'm telling you, you will love this and you just need to stick with it, she grows up and becomes an awesome heroine and I loved her in the second book. It's an incredibly sexy series that has both a contemporary and a PNR vibe to it, which makes it really unique. You'll be hooked by the end of the first book, and the second book was A-MA-ZING!!!
