"Calling Invisible Women was an absolute delight!" says Karen O. "An interesting fact to note: the author is the mother of novelist Anne Patchett, one of my favorites, whose latest novel also dealt with issues regarding the greed and politics of a big pharmaceutical company."
This makes us think of other family connections between writers. Do you have any favorites? Jonathan Safran Foer and Nicole Krauss come to mind!

Were you a lucky winner of our Read It First giveaway of HEARTBROKEN? Have you read Lisa Unger's other thrillers and mysteries?
Lisa sure does have a lot of fans out there. Are you one of them? What makes her thrillers so good?
I'll get the conversation started and say that from the moment I read BEAUTIFUL LIES, I recognized Lisa's gift for portraying strong, complicated, interesting women in crazy situations who nonetheless seemed really familiar....

As always, if you've read THE WATCH, we want to hear from you!
If you haven't read, we want to know if you're interested in reading the first major novel of the Afghanistan War.

But we will take your suggestion and think about how we can use our GR group to broadcast the giveaways before they expire, too.
Thank you!

Also, do you like to read short story collections? Does it matter if they're stand-alone stories or closely linked like those in THE KISSING LIST?
Check out the RIF post - and RIFer comments - on Read It First giveaway of Stephanie Reents' THE KISSING LIST.

Many of you have posted thoughts on Read It Forward Facebook - we hope you'll join the conversation here too.
Was the Satmar familiar to you, or did you learn new things about this pious enclave? What did you think about the way Markovits resolves the long-hidden family secrets that are finally brought to the surface?

This was a different kind of book for RIF - all the books we feature are nearly all fiction and memoir/biography, and this is more Christian self-help.
If you read the book, what did you think?
If you didn't, read this essay by author Joe Kissack and let us know if you'd like to see more books like this on RIF.

Do you agree with the San Francisco Bay Guardian reviewer who called it “Gripping and insightful…A page-turner, in the tradition of great true-crime novels such as Truman Capote's In Cold Blood"?

Critics have compared Sam Leith to Thomas Pynchon, Carl Hiassen, and Alfred Hitchcock. What do you think of those comparisons?

If you've read THE SACRED THREAD, we'd love to hear your thoughts.
If you haven't, check out our post and leave a comment!
