Just because I had finished High School "before" Star Wars was released ๐คจ ๐ ๐
As most of us original Star Wars nerds are getting up there I wish they would make some SW shows that are aimed at an older audience and tackle complex issues.
I am enjoying Bad Batch.

13 year old me is yelling "Hutch" ๐ That was one of my favourite programs when I was in high school.
Paul Michael Glaser was "Starsky"

It was bit meh. I liked the art style, but the story wasn't as good as I expected.
I've only seen the first 4. I did enjoy "Snow in the Desert" and "Pop Squad"
But as others have said Season 1 was better. Though there were a few duds in the 18 episodes.

Not too edgy for D+ in Oz ๐

They're right, It is whimsical.
I don't know US house prices, but US$325 k for a 2 story city apartment sounds cheap

That was Vinnie Barbarino's insult from "Welcome Back Kotter"
Yeah a lot of the humour from comedies from the 70s hasn't aged well.

Yes it was a mini-series (or limited run series) of 8 episodes in the US.
It is a long time ago when it ran in Oz (1977), but we may have got the re-edited 6 part series that the BBC had.
Exact same content just made to have identical length episodes.
Great mini-series BTW, as was "Roots: The Next Generations" a few years later.

Bit of an unfortunate gaffe there (twice) by Robb. Thankfully Tom corrected it.

I haven't heard the audiobook version so may have been skewed to the way they presented it, if I had.

I went through a H. Rider Haggard phase when I was young. (Early teens). I loved She, King Solomon's Mines & the Allan Quartermain series.
I worry that if I tried to read them now they'd be more sexist & racist than I remember from 45+ years ago.

The notifications here have been wonky for a few weeks.

I can agree with that. 3 episodes in on Shadow & Bone and I'm still trying to work everything and everyone out. The Nevers is more straightforward and relatable from the start with a few unfolding mysteries and uncertain character motivations.

LotR is not a trilogy. The Two Towers is the middle third of a single book, that is sometimes split into 3 books

I ended up buying the lot for US$25. At less than 60c an issue it was too good a deal.
I am not familiar with most of the titles, but they look like my type of comics.

At a bare minimum the lowest rung looks like a no-brainer for me tor try. But I'm tempted to buy the lot at only US$25.
Has anyone read any of these and can comment on their quality? Direct link to Bundle below.

The trailer isn't selling me that the TV series is going to be as good. But I will definitely watch to find out.
