In this episode, Veronica and Tom discussed Kraft singles and their use in Korean cuisine, which I found interesting. Looking online, it's a thing. First article I found was about Shin Ramen and Kraft singles. Shin Ramen was discussed on Tom's Daily Tech News Show the other day. Lately, every time I listen to a podcast I come away hungry.But back to Kraft singles and books. This is a book club after all. There is a Kraft singles book titled "20 Slices" by Ben Denzer. It was acquired by the University of Michigan Art, Architecture & Engineering Library for one of their Special Collections.

Librarian Jamie Vander Broek didn’t realize just how controversial this book would be when she bought it, but it has stirred up emotions. People had plenty of questions to ask, including, “Is someone the author of the cheese book? What is its subject? Is it about cheese if it is cheese?”
The book is kept in a controlled environment, but alas, mold has set in.

Australian butcherbirds are pretty interesting too. That's a wicked hook on the end of the beak.I've always gotten a kick out of shrikes because their masks make them look like tiny bandits.

I've been watching the animated show this past week. It's streaming on Netflix with your choice of soundtracks, the original Japanese or English. I never saw the show when it first came to the US, but I understand why viewers are fascinated with these characters.I went looking for the Cowboy Bebop manga only to discover that the Tokyopop books are now very expensive. Maybe they will be reprinted now that the live-action series is coming. New comics are coming from Titan Comics later this month.
