I need to figure out when I'll read that. Although I didn't like The Trouble with Peace as much as A Little Hatred.

Still in the middle my expanse reread with Cibola Burn

Good luck with your book.

4170 So far I've only read Pilot X, but I enjoyed that one. I'd recommend that one if you're trying to decide which of his to try next.

4170 For my own personal challenges, I'm finished with:

Personal: 20/25 (80% complete)
Sword: 9/5 (180% complete)
Laser: 8/5 (160% complete)

I finished reading 2 sci-fi books this month.

Continuing with my Expanse re-read and nothing else. I should add another 2-3 in September. I think I'm still on pace to finish all 8 before Leviathan Falls comes out, but we'll see.

4170 FWIW, I started using doodle. It's free and doesn't require an account to use.

I use it help pick a date for my game nights, but I used it for our Maryland meetup this month and it seems to work ok for that.

There is an of "Yes, no, if need be" which I just as a "maybe" option.

I just schedule a single day/time rather than multiple.

Sigh. I'm only just seeing this now. Goodreads email notifications are broken or something..
4170 Our September pick is Terra Nullius by Claire G. Coleman.

Not sure if you've finished yet, but I'd be curious to hear the verdict on that. I liked his Frontline series but I feel like it's dragged on too long.

4170 For my own personal challenges, I'm finished with:

Personal: 18/25 (72% complete)
Sword: 9/5 (180% complete)
Laser: 6/5 (120% complete)

I finished reading 2 sci-fi books this month.

I started my expanse reread, so I'll probably more than double my Laser pledge. Probably closer to triple (since the plan is to do all 9).

Likely I'll get in 2 more sci-fi this month. Maybe 3. I'm almost done with Leviathan Wakes

4170 With the Delta variant forcing mask policies back into place, probably best to keep things virtual still.

Next Meetup:
Date: Saturday August 28th
When: 12PM ET
Where: Discord

The discord RSVP didn't seem to work out well. So I'm trying doodle this month.

4170 August is here, what are you reading this month?
4170 Our August pick will be: The Ruthless Lady's Guide to Wizardry by C.M. Waggoner.

Let us know what you think of the pick

4170 Due to lack of general responses and some availability let's have our July 31st Meetup on Discord again.

We can re-evaluate doing McGinty's for August.

I think I'll try a different way of collecting RSVPs for August too. The Discord thing didn't seem to work out.

4170 I would have watched, but I was already sleeping by the time they started...

Likely I'll never get to watch live with the timezone differences and how early I get up for work.
