There used to be a show on called Dead Like Me, and I loved it! No idea why it was canceled. :(

Just be prepared. The first epi was all I could take, but I wasn't prepared for the level if realism. There's no PNR to explain away Dexters issues. Nothing to let you say, "Well, it's not real so it's okay."

I really do want to try again one day.

I'm not sure if it was the blood and gore or how...human...how real it seemed.

I love the actor who plays Dex. But man, oh man. I'm not usually squeamish, but there was something about it that got to me.

She knew she'd pine her life away if she didn't do something soon. Approach him, tell him how she really feels... and risk damaging their friendship, possibly beyond repair.

Could she live with a bruised heart, she wondered, any easier than she could live with a broken one? She wasn't sure, but she had to do something fast.

Has anyone watched Dexter? I saw part of the first episode but had to stop watching. Wondering if I should try again.

I loved how Javi did what ever he had to do for Laura, and what he did was awesome. I just adore him!

Their writing styles are worlds apart, true, but they both bring me to tears with the powerful truths and beauty of their stories. Every time.

I. LOVED. THAT!!! A man with his insatiable appetite (as proved by their weekend in Dubai) taking the time, letting her make the moves... that was amazing. I can imagine a lot of guys would be thinking that they're so macho and amazing in the love making department that they could seduce the hurt away. Javi seduced, but he seduced her heart. That's what makes him even more all kinds of awesome!

Agreed. I think women, in general, are emotionally stronger and more stable than men are.

This pisses me off. It's also the same as saying victims of rape, molestation, abuse of any kind, can never be happy. The memories are always there, but that doesn't mean they haven't grown and moved on.

Those experiences, heinous as they are, can also make you stronger and make you appreciate what you have all the more.

And as much as we'd like all HEAs to be fairytale perfect, in real life, they aren't. But that doesn't mean they're not perfect in their own right.

Pamela, it's always a thrill and much appreciated when you stop by to share your insights with us. I've read all your books and know from conversations we've had that you put your heart and soul into your stories. You share important information with your readers and give us enough truth that if we're so inclined we can look into things further. And I did with the stove fire murders. They can justify what they do with lies, but it's murder, plain and simple. How can these people who do so much in Allah's name really think that burning a woman alive is okay?
