I liked so many things about this book--but I could do without the evil pursuer theme. Still, JQ always writes so well and I really enjoyed her writing an older heroine.

Janga and Irish Eyes there is actually a fourth in the series with Kate's younger sister and Will from the Family Blessings series set in the Navaho reservation. I think it's called medicine man or something like that. (he is actually in Cal and Kate's story too.)

Oh yes both this and the next scene are classics!

Reading lots of Reavis and Brashear backlist. Wow how did I miss them?

Trying Jean brashear....because of janga of course!

Wow a medieval puzzler! I know I haven't read this one....
Great choice.

Parasol protectorate is basically a series all about the same couple. I recommend giving yourself time between the books--I read them one right after another and the snark got old....

After reading Shannon Staceys new book, which I didn't like nearly as much as her kowalski series, I am now finishing up Nita Abrams series of napoleonic spies, which I do like and hope will come back in print. Does any one know if ahe has written anything else?

As I recall, it won best book of the decade on the EJ/JQ board....so Janga you (and I) are not alone!

Oh I love this scene and this book! I knew what it was from the caption!
Great choice. If anyone hasn't read it you should read it now.

Another great book by JQ. I liked her heroine being older-can't think offhand of another of her books like that.

Just read Karina Bliss new boom Bring him home. Wow. The first two in the series didn't quite work for me but this was great.

I finished it. I almost wish I hadn't. I think anyone with a legal background would be totally infuriated by it and distracted from the relationship by the completely impossible (not just implausible) plot. GRRR.

Manda I had already seen your note about the third one. If I hadn't I would probably have given up on the series.!

Reading the new Susan Mallery. It may be a DNF for me. Totally implausible plot -- the legal situation is not only absurd but impossible, timeline makes no sense -- and absoulutely no reason to think the characters would have any interest in eachother. Why would may fall for someone who deliberately ripped her off? Rafe and Heidi don't click in any way--their sexual attraction is completely impossible . I'm glad her next book is good because this one sets a very low bar.

I just finished Imperial Scandal by Teresa Grant. Someone has to take away her obsession with women spies relying on sex to do their work (her heroine and the murder victim both come off badly in terms of personal honor compared to Jo Bourne's Justine, who breaks off her love affair with Adrian when she realizes they will be on the opposite sides of the war, or Mary Jo Putney's Margot Ashton, who does her spying via a network of women servants). She writes beautifully, but I have a hard time caring about whether this woman gets her HEA...and the relationship between H and H is too much a replay of her last book and of her Secrets of a Lady, even though the plot itself is not. I wish her editor would make her move on-I'm probalby going to read some of her old books next, after I read today's release--I have five!(Quinn, Mallery, Grant, Gibson, Chapman.)

Definitely haven't read this.

Yes, she's definitely worth trying. Although I am seriously tempted to send her a copy-edited version of her book! Who wer eyou thinking of ?
