I am going to take a romance break and read Game of Thrones and Thinking Fast and Slow---while waiting for 4 books to be published April 29.
I'm also rereading the Pennyroyal Green series so I may dip back into it.

The name did remind me of a book but I am pretty sure it's not that author.

I definitely haven't read this!

A great choice. One of my favorite authors. Her new series is even better...

I loved Between the Devil and Ian Eversea so much I am rereading the series. It's amazing to see how many characters are there from the first book...
Does anyone know if the next book is Olivia and Lyons story?

Irish some of SMS books have epilogues but not that many. I agree HKOT would have been better with one.

I'm reading Satisfaction by Sarah Mayberry. I didn't realize she had self-pubbed a book. It's steamier than my usual taste but it's still got her compelling characters. And I really liked her latest, Her Kind of Trouble.
I also read More Than She Expected but didn't fall in love with it. And The Winter Bride, which started out feeling a little imitative but ended up being quite good.

I definitely haven't read this. Very curious ...

Is the second half out of the RK book? I read the first half and admired the writing but found it grim. But she always wins me over with her endings so I am eager to see this one too. I loved her second book--I think it's called About last night--really amazing

Some early Jo Goodwins are set in the Revolutionary war. They are not my favorites by her but still worth reading and now available in ebook. Same for some early Gurhke.

Glad you are feeling better...

It came to me right before you posted ! I love that book !

Loving Meredith Duran's new book. I did like EJ's new book . I was frustrated by the new Higgins--I feel like she could go deeper and has in other books.

I know I know it. I just can't place it.

Ahem Manda. Time to post the answer.

Reading Kristin Higgins new book. I'm waiting for the weekend to savor Between the Devil and Ian Eversea and Three Weeks with Lady X.

I think a beta feels less of a need to control those around him or be in control.

Me too. I think she is one of the most interesting new talents out there.
I can't think of another romance with a plot driven by elections for example and yet they were big big deals in the 18 and early 19 c ( and later of course but once electoral reform happened they weren't such a big deal for the nobility.)
