That would be great! I just noticed that I only gave you one day--do you want to swap or keep your day? I can put Phoenix at the end.
Deb

I am waiting to hear from folks here before I try Heroes.
Just finished Not Quite a Wife. There is a lot of description in it and not as much dialog as I would like. ...

Hi
Phoenix is scheduled to post the Monday Puzzler but is going out of town and can't post until late Monday. Does anyone want to swap with her?
Deb

I am looking forward to three releases tomorrow--by Putney, Gibson and Carlyle

Other people can drop hints if they choose...in this case the time period is, shall we say, confused.

I haven't really read the main books. I skimmed one and was captured by a wonderful scene where a secondary character wrote and then burned a love letter to the hero. Started reading the side series about that character but couldn't keep it up. I think her books would be wonderful if she had an editor that took out all the stuff that should be back story.

Just read Courtney Milan's new novella. It is one of the few historical romances I have read with a black heroine and I liked that but I felt it had a lot of loose ends

I find her a mixed bag--some wonderful moments, but buried in too much other stuff

I liked some of the Heyer parallels. And Fitz devotion to a prior love didn't bother me. But I thought he was insensitive to how Millie felt even given that he didn't know she was in love with him and his failure to think about the consequences of his actions for the children involved (present and potential) really bothered me.
Hopefully no spoilers there

I certainly wouldn't judge all of Sherry Thomas by this book. I did not like the hero and I love most of her work. It is true she is angsty but most of her heros and heroines are much more likeable.

Yes, and I'm pretty sure she said so at one point. I was also confused about Roberta and Damian but since they came first...
The other possibility is that Jemma and Villiers were not supposed to have their own book but instead happen as a secondary romance through the other four.

Oh I know the series well. But I believe at the beginning it was supposed to be 4 books. Then she decided not to kill off Elijah and marry Jemma to Villiers so that meant 5 bookS--basically adding one for Villiers and Eleanor. What I am wondering about is which other one was not initially planned?
And Three Weeks makes it 7 ....

Finishing the cat trilogy by Lynn Kerstan. Thanks Manda!
Then I may read The Hidden Blade or more Kerstan or Designated Daughters by Margaret Maron...gonna be a good week.
On the side rereading the Desperate Duchesses series. Does anyone know which heroines were added to get from four to six books? One was Eleanor but what was the other?

Great book. I agree about the hero who not only is clueless about his own feelings but is remarkably thoughtless about the consequences of his behavior
Janga you may want to edit out the name

Great blog. Now I am trying to think of other younger sons... Of course the hero of Simply Love...

So what is it Manda?

I definitely haven't read it!

I have no idea

The paper versions of Eloisas books used to have a lot of problems too. They are much better now.
I read and really liked Between the Sheets by Molly O'Keefe. Next is Mr Right goes Wrong by Morsi.

I have enjoyed other books by her. Guess I will have to try this!
