38077 Oh I love this book.

38077 Just finished glomming all Mary Ann Rivers books. I am so impressed with her -- I didn't fall quite as much for the second full length book but she is definitely on my autobuy list

I have also been rereading some CS Harris and realizing just how beautifully the relationship of Devlin and Hero develops over the series. Any suggestions for other series which follow the same lead couple and really develop their relationship? Right now the only one that comes to mind are Dorothy Sayers' Peter and Harriet. Elijah and Jemma are a little like that but only one book is really theirs.

38077 I'm now on a MaryAnn Rivers bing. Very emotional story lines about real life situations combined with very compelling relationships and very hot sex.

For example her novella Snowfall is about a scientist who is slowly losing her sight and her occupational therapist...

And The Story Guy starts out sounding like its about a on-line add for a sort of hookup but turns out to be about a librarian falling in love with a guy who is so committed to caring for someone in his family that he has only one hour a week for himself--she falls in love with him largely because he has such a huge capacity for love and commitment even though she will have to be on the edges of his life. I sort of want to yell READ THIS BOOK to everyone.

I'm now reading the first of her full length books.

38077 Huh--that would be a loss. . Grace Burrowes seems to plan to do both contemps and historicals and I prefer her contemps.

38077 Who has left historicals besides Kleypas?

38077 Manda, that was Charlene but I shared her reaction. I find Hunter a little stiff in any case--she is an autobuy for me because she writes so well and really captures the period but her characters never quite come alive for me.

Janga I am SO jealous.

I am reading CS Harris new book--has anyone read her work as Candice Procter? Any reaction?

38077 Pretty sure I haven't read it. That bit about break her of being headstrong ...

38077 Just read a novella, Story Guy, by Mary Ann Rivers. Amazing. A little like Ruthie Knox. I really recommend it.

38077 So I should read the other three?
Mar 07, 2015 07:54AM

38077 Based on Manda's recommendation I read the trouble with love and really enjoyed it.

38077 Reading Grace Burrowes contemporary novellas. I loved the three contemp novels and really hope she continues with contemps. All her beautiful sensitive relationship development and none of the intensely irritating

38077 I think I have read it but right now can't place it.

38077 Ok Ali time for the reveal...

38077 I know exactly. Great choice. You might want to edit it to take out hero's name where you left it.

38077 I'm reading Hot which is a contemp by Hoyt under another name. I like the protagonists but there is no way an FBI agent would act like this and what happened to tracking people by their phones?

38077 The scene I remember is the one with the shooting and the statue...laugh out loud funny.
She is one of the few authors that can do funny and deeply moving together
Feb 18, 2015 12:04AM

38077 Of course I've read it! I can't believe I didn't recognize it!
Feb 17, 2015 11:31PM

38077 Ok Rachel what is the book?
Feb 17, 2015 10:17AM

38077 Either my memory is completely shot or I have a great read ahead of me. Or both.
Feb 16, 2015 07:32AM

38077 I know I haven't read this!
