Read a book from a series you have already started. This book may not be used for combo. This task may be used only once.
10.2 Pronouns
January is Yours, Mine and Ours Month-Read a book with a pronoun in the title, excluding forms of "it": I, we, you, he, she, they, me, him, her, us, them, myself, yourself, himself, herself, ourselves, themselves, mine, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs.
10.3 Police
In honor of Peter Robinson, who wrote police procedurals, read any book whose main character is the police. No private eyes, civilian detectives or government spies for this
10.4 Twelve
December = 12; January plus February = 12 (1, 2). Read a book that has 12 or fewer letters in its title, including leading article if any. Task applies to title only, but your book may have a subtitle.
10.5 Journey
In honor of the 150th anniversary of the publication of Around the World in Eighty Days, read a book about a journey or voyage.
10.6 Map
In honor of Patricia A. McKillip, P.J. O'Rourke, and Nicholas Evans, read a book by one of the authors on their literature map:
McKillip: https://www.literature-map.com/patric...
O'Rourke: https://www.literature-map.com/p.+j.+...
Evans: https://www.literature-map.com/nichol...
10.7 Out of this World (Joanna's Task)
Read a book set 75% or more in a fictional setting. A fictional country, planet, space, or fantasy world works; a fictional city in a real state/country does not work.
10.8 The Threes (Rosemary's Task)
Read a book with a three-word title whose first word is ‘The’ (or equivalent if reading in another language). If there is a subtitle, it doesn’t count towards the number of words.
10.9 Covid 19 Hits (Rebekah's Task)
Fingers crossed, we’re over the hump of isolation, closed libraries, and virtual schooling.
For this task, read any nominated book from the Goodreads Choice Award Polls for the years 2020, 2021, 2022 in these genres: Fiction, Mystery/Thriller, Historical Fiction, Fantasy, Romance, Sci-Fi, Horror, Humor, Non-Fiction, Memoir/Autobiography, History/Biography, Poetry and Debut. (2022 list has been removed until Dec 8 when winners announced.)
Go to https://www.goodreads.com/choiceaward... previous years are listed in the sidebar. Click on any genre to see nominated books. Again, side bar will have links to other genres. To lighten the load for the mods, when posting please include the year and the genre of the book you read.

Read 10 books where the first letter of the author name and the last letter of the author name each uses a different letter of the alphabet. When an author name ends in an initial, the period will be ignored. There are 13 possible pairs of letters. You may not re-use letters.
Books may be read in any order. You may repeat Alpha Omega 3 times. You will always start with a complete alphabet. Authors may be repeated in subsequent rounds.
Examples:
C-L: The Coroner's Lunch by Colin Cotterill
E-W: Ragtime by E.L. Doctorow
H-R: The Odyssey by Homer
Scoring:
15.1 - 15.5 = 15 points
15.6 - 15.8 = 20 points
15.9 = 25 points
15.10 = 30 points
Alpha Omega Finish: 100 points
A few notes:
I. You cannot claim regular style points for any book you read for Alpha Omega (nor do the AO tasks count as combo style points for Reading with Style's 10 and 20 point tasks).
II. All books read for this sub-challenge must be at least 100 pages, based on the most popular edition.
III. Please be aware that cookbooks, illustrated guides, graphic novels are not allowed. Also, books designated as "YA", "Assignment", or "Juv" by the Brooklyn Public Library with a Lexile score less than 700 are not allowed.
