36119 I just want to note that the Most Popular Edition pagecount for Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood is 224 pages (while MY copy is 304 pages) but since I'm planning to use it for

7. 100-250 pages-Read a book with 100-250 pages in the MPE.

and I don't want to find out that the pagecount changed after I'm halfway through my books :) so hopefully by noting it here I'll avoid that complication thanks

I just read it and felt like less than 50% was set in the bookmobile. It's more about Nina changing as a person, taking chances with new experiences in her life.

Thanks for answering my question Connie

The Norman Denny is excellent.

Thanks -- I know this group will steer me to a good translation. The translator makes such a difference for people like me who can only read in English!

A Blunt Instrument (Inspector Hannasyde #4) (1938) by Georgette Heyer (Paperback, 309 pages)
Review:This is a frothy 1930s English manor house murder mystery, the fourth of four books in Heyer’s series starring the very English Superintendent Hannasyde. Several of the characters specialize in making witty comments. Heyer includes several scenes of situational humor. She also plays fair with regards to the whodunit aspect of the mystery (unlike the mystery I read earlier this month *cough* Drizzled with Death *cough*). The uppercrust, hedonistic, flippant young men in this novel would feel right at home in P.G. Wodehouse’s novels. Unlike Wodehouse’s novels, this one also includes stalwart and determined police inspectors (no bumblers here!). Recommended for light-hearted reading.

Grave Peril (The Dresden Files #3) (2001) by Jim Butcher (Goodreads Author) (Mass Market Paperback, 378 pages)
Review:This is the third novel in the Dresden Files urban fantasy series. The novel assumes that the reader remembers the world building and main characters from the first two novels in the series. Consequently, there is more action – action - action and less explanation in this novel than in the first two. (I tend to like books with more character development and more world building and less action – action – action.) A new main character, Michael Carpenter, is introduced. Michael is a “white knight”, a true believer who is a highly ethical magic user who supports Dresden in his fight against vampires and demons. I especially enjoyed the scenes in the novel that Michael was in. I’d recommend the Dresden Files series for fans of Urban Fantasy. I would also recommend reading the first two books in the series before reading this one.
