Here in Atlanta, in 2014, we had less than 2 inches of snow.
The media calls it Snowmageddon or Snowpocalypse, because it literally shut down the city for 2 days. Here's a link to local coverage: Fox 5 Atlanta News The roads were undriveable. School buses were unable to drive, and many elementary school students spent the night at their school. My daughter -- who works as a nurse at a local hospital -- was unable to get to work. Grocery stores were emptied of food (trucks were stuck on the interstates, unable to deliver supplies).
I was born & raised in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Two inches of snow is nothing -- people just go about their business. It takes 2 feet of snow to close down the D.C.!
