35559 I'm thinking that I should have Dune finished sometime on Sunday if not sooner than that. I did get another book finished and added to the spreadsheet. I don't think I will be able to fit in another book besides Dune.

Did I like the book I finished or Dune? I haven’t started it yet but I did watch the movie and I really enjoyed that

35559 I have finally finished my first book (although it does not work for color or tag). I will be starting Dune tomorrow

35559 I borrowed a couple books from the library with space opera tag. I'm not sure if I will make it through all of them with trying to read my books with my other challenges but I will try. I usually don't log my books until after I finish them so I hope that won't be a problem

35559 Hello everybody! My name is Cindy and I live in Colorado with my husband and baby girl. I work in a hospital pharmacy so I try to fit in audiobooks as a I can and read ebooks/books whenever I get the time. I pretty much read anything and everything although I don’t think I have read any space opera so I’m hoping I can find something to read. I read more romance than any other genre though.

I have not read the book our group is named after but it had been on my TBR for a while.

I won’t be able to post my shelf until tomorrow when I can get on the computer

35559 Hey all, this week has been crazy and I haven’t been able to get much reading done at all. Me and my husband are unexpectedly moving very quickly and have lost our childcare. Between trying to find somewhere to live and someone to watch my child when we’re working it has been very stressful and crazy. Sorry I haven’t had much reading to contribute

35559 Hope everyone is doing ok. Been a little slow in my reading, just not finding as much time as I would like to get my reading in. But I will add my books to the spreadsheet as soon an I get a minute on the computer. I was going to try to do the BOM but I feel like I’m in so many challenges trying to read all these books that I won’t have time to get to them. I will see what all I can get finished

Done, hopefully it all stays saved. Been having lots of trouble with my goodreads
35559 DQ: 18 May - Sugi and Chikako's Hotel for Pets & Between Friends

9) Considering Satoru seems to be quite perceptive overall, do you think he knew about Sugi’s less charitable feelings about him, both in the past and during this visit?
I think he probably had a feeling about it or some sense of it

10) So far, the chapters have all been combining Satoru and Nana’s journey with Satoru’s past with several other people, as well as their backgrounds. How do you feel about this interlude (chapter 3.5) focused entirely on the man and his cat? What does it add to the story?
It shows that Nana is not just a pet to Satoru

11) For the first time, we got a hint of what’s going on with Satoru when the dog said “he smells like he isn’t going to make it” in chapter 3, and this came up again in chapter 3.5. So it sounds like Satoru is ill… was that your prediction for question 4?
Yes, I did think he had some kind of illness

12) Squabbles between cats and dogs were really present in these sections. So: Are you a cat person or a dog person or both (or neither)?
I am a dog person. I'm allergic to cats so I'm not really around them. I will occasionally hold kittens because they are so cute and they make the hives and itchy eyes worth it sometimes lol
35559 DQ: 17 May - The Unsentimental Farmer

5) I really like reading the cat's thoughts. It can be quite funny. Do you think these are convincing cat thoughts?
They are funny. I would like to believe they can be real cat thoughts

6) In this chapter we are introduced to Yoshimine, another potential owner for our cat. What do you think of him and his backstory?
He seems nice enough. I felt bad for him but was happy that he at least had his grandmother

7) Do you think Yoshimine would have been a good owner for Nana ?
I think he would have been ok. He may not have been as loving and what not but I think he still would have done ok

8) Yoshimine has already a kitten called Chatran, and Satoru makes fun of him for naming his cat with such a cliché name. What is for you the most cliché cat name(s)? In french it is quite common to call a cat Chaussette (meaning sock), Mistigri or Felix (actually a cat food brand).
Hmm... I'm not really sure what I think a clitche cat name would be, trying to think of names and nothing comes to mind
35559 DQs 16 May: Prologue - The Husband Without a Wife

1. How are you liking the way the story is written with its alternating POVs ? Is there a POV you prefer ?
I don't mind the alternating POV. I do like to seeing how everyone's different way of thinking and what not. I like the cat's POV most right now.

2. Through the flashbacks we get to know Satoru's personality a bit more. What do you make of him so far ? What did you think about his way of helping his friend Kosuke?
I think he's kind and loving

3. Talking about Kosuke, what's up with his parents ? It seemed to me that Kosuke was genuinely convinced that his father would agree to keep the cat (Hachi). What did you think about his backstory ?
I think his dad was a little harsh. I think he was always intimidated by him. He seems like a good person and a good friend.

4. Why do you think Satoru can't take care of Nana anymore ?
I'm thinking maybe he has some kind of sickness

35559 Hello all, I am feeling better and my symptoms are almost gone. I return to work tomorrow. Unfortunately my baby did get it too so I didn’t get as much reading in as I thought. I was able to finish 1 smaller book that I need to log and I started reading The Goldfinch so it’ll take me a little while to get through that. I haven’t been able to contribute anything to the maze, so sorry about that. I didn’t know that I was still able to answer questions for The Travelling Cat Chronicles so when I have time to get on my computer I will answer those questions and link posts so we can get those extra points
