I've got a 700+ book lined up which won't work for either set of long page numbers. Feels fitting somehow.

I've only read House in the Cerulean Sea, which I enjoyed but haven't read any of their others yet.

How are you finding the Crying of Lot 49? I really didn't enjoy it.

I'm happy with the rule of over 100 pages with no word count issues. The same with not using banked books and just taking things as they come up.

Properly heavy rain you take precautions against. I object to the days where the air is wet and it just seeps through everything.

That's quite the stretch without rain in Leeds. Summer there has felt wet and miserable but not quite that bad. Impressive fibbing by your husband, hope he's more reliable about other things!

Children fell asleep before 10 and were woken at 7.30 for breakfast so exhausted by all the fresh air, parks, soft play, sand pits etc. Was a lot of fun and would take them again.

High speed rescue by the book gods there!

I'm home. Sticky and sandy with v tired children. Once we've got stuff sorted I'll look at what I've got coming up.

I found the books of hers I've read hard going. But that might be because I've only read the parable ones.
