I finished part 2.

Rue's part finally came but it hit me less than when I watched the movie. I liked her character and what she meant for Katniss at the games. It's interesting to see how Katniss is using strategy along with skills to win a game where they are quite an underdog. I wonder what the point was for Capitol to announce that 2 people can win from the same district?! Maybe I will uncover it once I read on.. I remember it being a trap to be reverted by the end or something like that. I felt Katniss and Peeta had some sort of plot armour in some scenes but overall quite a compelling read still.

I kind of hate how the movies have put Jennifer Lawrence's face whenever I think of Katniss. I would have assumed her a bit different. Thankfully, I forgotten about Peeta from the movies

I also voted for the same books (The Measure has been in my TBR for a long time). I have already read Silent Patient and This is How You Lose the Time War. The latter is one of my favourite books of all time and I can re-read it again in case it gets selected.

I was very tempted to vote for Funny Story as I love Emily Henry.

Yes! And I am so excited for Penelope.. I had a try at the book, did not really like it so much. But the Netflix series is so bingeworthy

I have never read the books and just remember glimpses of the movie. To my surprise, I flew through the pages and reached chapter 7. I still remember the fire dress being hyped up in my school haha when the movie came out.

It gives me a sort of purge vibes and I like the commentary/parallelism on socio-economic disparity. Peeta is such a sweetheart so far. but I recall finding him meek when I watched the movie (a long while back). I also recall the movie being quite action-packed, and waiting to see how it would transform into the books.

I am not a big fan of saving the family / small sister / sacrificing persona for some reason. I think that is the part that has bugged me so far. Though I like Katniss's attitude (view spoiler)[ of having to kill Peeta if she has to, though I recall both being saved at the end of the game (hide spoiler)]

Hey guys! Just flagging that I will be on vacation the coming week. Travelling to India for my uncle's wedding. So, I will have limited time (if any) during the start of the challenge. I will check in once I am back!

That was a good movie! I did not know it was based on a book - I guess now I will never read it haha!

But a friend had described me the movie word to word which I thankfully don't recall (except for the concept and some minor details like (view spoiler)[ some small kid dying and something to do with a fire costume (hide spoiler)])

Hi everyone! I'm Nistha, from India but currently living in the UK. My husband is living in Berlin. Our work locations keep us apart, so we frequently try to travel to see each other and spend 4-5 days together. He just left for Berlin tonight so I am feeling a little sad, but I will see him again in 10 days!

Romance and thriller/mystery have always been my go-to genre. I had a reading slump for a long time till I re-discovered my love for reading (and it is one of the best feelings ever). I am open to most types of books but the ones that resonate with me most are well-developed character-focused tales. My favourite book(s) this year have been The Atlas Six and My Dark Vanessa!

Unfortunately, I have not yet read The Hunger Games and it wasn't in my TBRs for this year .... until tada this challenge comes and I am thinking maybe it's a sign haha!

Even though I have some trips planned (esp on the first week of the challenge) and expect my workload to be a little bit maddening, I still plan to read and discover new books and ultimately have loads of fun with everyone!

Before the challenge ends, I just wanted to say that whatever position we end up in doesn't matter to me as I had loads of fun with this team <3 Everyone is so nice and cooperative and I ended up reading far more books than what I would have originally read with absolutely no pressure. I also ended up picking some books which I might not have otherwise.

For books featuring DEATH, do we need an actual character ft death? I read a paranormal thriller featuring ghosts and investigations of 2 deaths - will it work?
