Chapters 24–38 (pg. 250-372

Rhys (view spoiler)[ I can’t help but to feel bad for him. He obviously was hurt mentally a lot more Under the Mountain than I’d imagined. For a minute there I thought he was. LOL (hide spoiler)]

Tarquin (view spoiler)[ I can see why Rhys would be jealous of him because Rhys has to constantly worry about people being threatened and leaving his court so that would be draining on someone. I think Rhys is more vulnerable than he’s led on. (hide spoiler)]

Feyre and Amren (view spoiler)[ scared me to death. When they went after the book and the water came down on them, I knew that they had to make it out but I was worried that something bad would happen. Their time in there was totally freaky! (hide spoiler)]

Do you think there is ANY chance that Feyre (view spoiler)[ and Tarquin would fall in love? She said he’d be easy to love, he’s super good-looking, and he’s kind. I know you’re rooting for her & Rhys but do you think it’ll become a triangle? (hide spoiler)]

It’s cool how Feyre (view spoiler)[ can climb inside someone’s head and in essence become them. (hide spoiler)]

The Blood Rubies (view spoiler)[ What a warning! Tarquin must know they were sent to her since he’s Lord of the Summer Court. Poor Feyre has a price on her head now. (hide spoiler)]

It’s about to get really good!!! An even bigger page-turner!

I'm a full day behind, but tomorrow we'll be on the road so unless I end up needing to drive, I'll catch up.

Chapters 14-23 (pg. 135-249)

After ending the last chapter now I feel kind of sorry for (view spoiler)[Tamlin. I wonder if he really did just get so screwed over and messed up in the head after going Under the Mountain that he really can't help himself for his over protectiveness. (hide spoiler)]

The Bone Carver (view spoiler)[is an 8 year old boy? Really? Or is that a trick of some kind? All the info on the Cauldron and the Book of Breathings seems out of the realm of such a young boy. (hide spoiler)]

The Cauldron (view spoiler)[sounds mighty powerful! It's almost like it's a god if it supposedly created everything. If it's only "hidden and forgotten" then I wonder what havoc it will reek on the earth and its inhabitants if it gets let loose, so to speak. It sounds really ominous. (hide spoiler)]

The Book of Breathings (view spoiler)[ I hope they find it and they're able to use it to negate the powers it has. But with the King of Hybern probably hunting it now as well, God only knows what will happen if he gets it first. (hide spoiler)]

Elain (view spoiler)[is probably about to get herself into a bad situation. Feyre kind of compared her imprisonment by Tamlin to what she fears/knows can happen to Elain based on how Nesta feels about her betrothed's father. I hope she does't get into a bad situation. (hide spoiler)]

Oh my gosh! That's crazy! But 288 out of how many books circulating? My daughter put a book on hold (not this one) and is 835 on the list, but I believe she said there are over 200 books circulating. Crazy!!!

Excellent points and it looks like we agree! I hadn't thought of the possibility of Tamlin (view spoiler)[working with the other court, but his "protective" ways are way out of kilter! Definitely a possibility and something to watch. (hide spoiler)]

Ch. 1-13 (pg. 1-131)

At this point I don't know what to think. Rhys has surprised me in ways I wasn't expecting and still don't know what to think about it. But so has Tamlin. I am conflicted about those two.

Tamlin (view spoiler)[made HUGE mistakes by trying to keep Feyre in dresses, being prim and proper, not listening to her needs/desires AT ALL. It seems to me at this point that all they really had going was pure physical lust. But once he locked her up, I don't blame her for getting the hell out of Dodge! (hide spoiler)]

Rhys (view spoiler)[is growing on me in a positive way, but I'm cautiously allowing it. LOL I like that he has been adamant that Feyre learns to read. I don't necessarily think it's totally just to benefit her but it is obviously something good for a person to know. The fact that Tamlin left her so without anything to do enabled her to practice and grow in her reading/writing skills which is a good thing but not for Tamlin's and her relationship.

I'm not sure that Velaris, the City of Starlight is a good place for Rhys to take Feyre, but I'm glad that he's "allowing" her to make her own decision. Plus it shows he's putting trust in her. I like his bits of snark here and there and I'm really hoping that he is a better guy than I originally thought because, like I said, he's growing on me and Tamlin is losing points. (hide spoiler)]

Feyre (view spoiler)[is not the stay-at-home type and anyone (Tamlin) who tries to fit her into a mold that she simply does not fit is going to lose. She got into begging, which no woman likes to do, but the begging got her nowhere except locked up. I'd die too! Who wants to be stuck all day in a house without the ability to go out, let alone locked in your room. (hide spoiler)]

I haven't seen too much of Mor yet but I like her so far.

I also felt for Feyre when Rhys told her that there was going to be a (view spoiler)[war. I think that Tamlin knew all along and he should have told her. I think if you're in a relationship like they were that each person needs to share things, hard as it might be at times. In my opinion, he really has done nothing but push her out and very possibly into Rhys's arms. (hide spoiler)]

As of just now we've moved up to #6 and we're only 25 points away from Zero who is in 5th! I think we can surpass them! I'll have a book finished today and MAYBE 2.

We are no longer 6th. Zero jumped way up today! But I still have faith we'll do it this week. :)

Nanci, I would be intimidated too. It's always more intimidating when you're doing something of that nature among your peers, but you had great questions.

I definitely want to see the movie but prior to reading the book, I had no desire. LOL

Cat, I hope I don't forget the book by Friday because I finished it a on the 5th and my memory is shot so go easy! LOL
