35559 Okay, let's hope that this week doesn't run my reading life again. I am so sorry everyone, but I won't have two of my books completed. This is the first time I haven't gotten all of my books done. Life happened to me this week.

Carrie, I am looking for a spot for Chester and Gus by Cammie McGovern and I was wondering it you'd be willing to switch with me. I don't think we get individual points/badges, etc. but only team. I went to B&N yesterday to get my book and found the above for a dog that is MC. The entire story is told from the dog's POV so it works for that one but I don't think he was from a shelter. Your book would work for a form of transport on the cover, unless it has to be the entire car. Let me know, and if that's not doable for you I completely understand. I don't want to bump anyone. As I read maybe I can find another spot for it or just switch it out for another book.

Erin, I moved my two books I didn't complete to this next week, so I'll be reading my butt off! The only thing I have somewhat planned, other than reading, is a dinner date with an ex-student in 10 minutes, so I'll try to make up for my two books this upcoming week. :)

Oh shoot, I'll have to find something else for it then. Thanks :)

35559 I added a bonus for "Xmas" in the text but the word is actually Christmas. I assume that's what is meant by Xmas, or does it have to actually be Xmas? I can put it elsewhere if that won't work.

Undoubtedly, but thought I'd give it a shot. lol I'm always TRYING just in case!

35559 For the Mini Challenge, do you think A Court of Wings and Ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #3) by Sarah J. Maas would work for a green "item" on the cover?

I am reading this book for the DQ's so if it's okay, I'll claim this task for us.

I'll start hunting for those smaller books then. lol
35559 I finally got this book on Scribd (still haven't gotten it at my library!), so if I answer questions will it still count for team points for Jack-in-the-Box? Does it have to be finished by the end of November or will it still count if I read it by the end of the challenge (which is happening way too soon and I'm sad to see it end)!!
35559 Well, since I didn't get chosen for writing DQ's :( I'm reading/answering for points for Jack-in-the-Box so we can go out with a BANG! :)

I have my book already from my library. I STILL don't have my Elizabeth Frankenstein book BUT someone told me about Sribd (I think it's called) and I got it on there so I can read it finally and answer questions. LOL

35559 BTW, I finally got my BOM for this month The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White . I assume that I cannot read it next month for extra bonus points, right? If the bonus points would help us, I could finish my one book I'm currently reading and then do the Elizabeth book, but I guess if I finish it Saturday it won't count since it's December 1. Or will it since Saturday ends our week?

I'm almost relieved. LOL Only because I've never done it before. It seems there should/could be a more fair way to choose the DQ's, such as if a team has already had to opportunity, they can't do them again until all teams have had the opportunity. Or something other than some of the same teams having 2 or more chances for the points and other teams (us lol) having no chance to do them.

35559 I vote for SCROOGE & I’m also excited for the mini game!

FYI & JIC My daughter-in-law’s uncle passed away and the service is tomorrow. My son is a pastor so he’s officiating. His family (5 of their 6 children) will be coming and I’ll get to meet my new great-grandson!! So excited!!! He’ll be 2 months on Saturday. Then at 4:00 my granddaughter is having her 11th birthday party/dinner at BJ’s so my reading is cut into. Plus today I awoke with a headache. I’m telling all of this in case I cannot finish my reads. I’ll definitely get 7 Deaths finished. And I’ll do my best to finish the others, but my son’s family is coming from over 300 miles away so it might not happen. I know they’re returning home Saturday morning but not sure what time, so I hope everybody understands.

Erin, can you look at my planned books and tell me if there’s any preference for me to finish. And I normally have to post by 1:00 PST on Saturdays. Can I possibly have any later just this one time or will that mess you/the team up?
35559 I ordered my book and I found the copy with Emily Wilson as translator, so I'm excited. Just waiting for my book to arrive from another library now. :)

I agree, Carrie! It's so nice to "work" with others who are participatory and nice people! It's been a good and FUN group! We might not be #1 on the billboard (is that the right word? lol), but we are #1 of the groups!!! :)

35559 I think a lot of our books could cover all the letters because there are only 3. Lol I’ll let you know the other letters my books cover. I’m pushing myself too but today has pretty much been out since I’ve been gone all day. I’m still not home. I should finish Forever My Girl tonight though.
