I absolutely loved it! As I added my favorites on this thread (and there were more lol), it confirmed for me that my favorite genre is historical fiction. I LOVE mystery/thriller as well and consider it a favorite genre, but I don't give as many 5-star ratings.

I must include this one that I read in 2023 and a MUST read!!!

The Women
10 of my favorites read in 2024 but in no particular order:

The Frozen River

A Song to Drown Rivers

The Fountains of Silence

A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire

Five Broken Blades

Clytemnestra

The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi

The God of the Woods

The Nightingale

OHHHHhhhh, I don't know how/where I missed that. lol I will have to go back now and make sure because I was not looking at that. Thank you. I'll get it together...hopefully! lol

Ashley or Apoorv, do our X's have to come from the beginning of the title or AFN or ALN or can the be anywhere in the title? The Love Elixir of Augusta Stern is a book I have that I could use for X if it can be anywhere in the title.
Also, will the SS be open to add books to claim soon for the letters?
A reminder to anyone who might not realize or forgot that we need to add the checkmark to the box to "notify me when people comment" so we get notifications. :)
Since I was too tired to read this entire thread last night, here's this:
🌟 Icebreaker Question: 🌟
If you could magically eliminate one boring chore from your life forever, which one would it be and why? 🧹✨
I literally HATE unpacking from vacations and we go on quite a few 10 days and shorter 3-4 day mini-vacays. The reason I hate it is because I simply am lazy, I guess. I just hate having to put everything away! Doing laundry and putting it away is different, but I don't know why. I will leave my suitcase with things in it forever because I hate it...yep, embarrassing to admit. My hubby will verify this because he hates that I don't put it up immediately because HE does! lol

I know and am friends with several of you, and I'm looking forward to getting to know the others of you. I'm definitely not new to Wheels and it's one of my very favorite challenges. I'm SO happy to be on this specific team!
For those who've played with me before and have heard it 101 times, I'm sorry not sorry but here goes...I'm happily married, have 5 children, 22 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Hubby and I live alone with our two dogs, Rocky (lab and border collie mix) who is 14 and CRAZY Daisy who is a 1 year old Havanese and she's just SO much fun! We lost our other two dogs Buddy and Jazzy. Buddy was 12 and he died about 10 years ago and Jazzy died last November 1...both broke our hearts.
I'm a retired English teacher of 25 years. I taught freshman English, multicultural literature to seniors, and yearbook. I'm loving traveling, spending a LOT more time with my grandkids, and yet I absolutely miss having students. I don't miss the red tape!
Can't wait to get to know you all and CRUSH Wheels!
Wheels-9

leave that pita-stuff, please!! :D
It seems the Mods are currently letting the teams know if there are any changes in our points, so we'll have to wait for that but we are doing great any..."
OK, will do, Melindam :)

VERY! Is that how many you've read?

Read all the books that don't work for challenges generally.
And the long books that will be..."
I do have at least one book that's over 600 pages that I am going to start and take my sweet time but I'll wait to finish it until Turf Wars begins. Then even though the page count will only be 611, it'll be a start so I'm hoping it'll fit somewhere other than the .01 multiplier. lol

Same....
Instead of audiobooking on free time though, I'm going to enjoy hours of music guil..."
That sounds heavenly! lol I'm SO excited though because one of my granddaughters is "coming by" this weekend. She had just gone to Hawaii to visit her twin sister and they're stopping in town before going back to Oregon, so I get to see her family. Sierra, her husband Brandon, and their 3 kids (my great grands) Ashton, 10, Audrina 6, and Cameron 7 weeks. So this weekend I am so thankful not to have any books I NEED to read!!!

Melindam, thank you for the info. :)
We did an amazing job but more than that we were an incredible team!!

Do we know where we ended up?
