I have books that were my grandmothers and so are getting close to 100 years old. I don't know what to do with them so I just store them 😮

I absolutely loved if you're interested in a war book that isn't about the war but all of those nuaces and grey areas

I appreciate it.! I know everyone has different tastes but when I saw what you wrote was basically what I felt I decided to go with your experience and not add to my tbr 😉

It has been a long time since I read the books and so I’m interested to see how my perceptions have changed. I love that you haven’t read them, Andy & Nous. Will be like a goodreads version of TikTok reactions 🤭

I also found when I was learning French that my brain would first translate into Spanish before it could go to French

But with Thai that didn't happen and I was able to go direct.

So interesting how our brains work!!!

That is a language I should probably learn as more than 80% of the people in my area have Mandarin or Cantonese as a first language. Would make life easier when meeting up with school parents! 😊

I liked the beginning, but then the whole middle section was not that great. I also struggle with 16 year olds with dead wives that they can't get over (#sorrythatsoundsharsh). But it picked back up enough at the end. I haven't added book 2. I'm not sure I actually want to continue the series unless I needed it for a challenge some day
