I have a few random books I'm trying to finish up before we start, including a novel I've been struggling with for years.
EMMA...
I can't seem to get into it, even though I enjoyed the movie. I figure at some point I'll just get to the end... I probably should just give up. HAH!
Does anyone have a book they struggle with like that?

I'm more secure in being able to get The Book of Cold Cases, so I feel more confident in volunteering.

The Handmaid's Tale (Margaret Atwood)

(shelved 38 times as tragedy)
Does this count?

1. I have to have minor surgery on the 23rd (although this may just be a great excuse to lay down and read MORE). -and-
2. I have a couple on hold at the Library and it's possible I won't get them in time.
Telesa: The Covenant Keeper (Lani Wendt Young)
To Paradise (Hanya Yanagihara)
How High We Go in the Dark (Sequoia Nagamatsu)
These Violent Delights (Chloe Gong)
The Sympathizer (Viet Thang Nguyen)
Opium and Absinthe (Lydia Kang)
Heat Stroke (Rachel Caine)
The Handmaid's Tale (Margaret Atwood)
A Court of Thorns and Roses (Sarah J. Maas)

I've added 2 to the spreadsheet (after noticing a 2 claim limit in Melissa's original post), and I'll add more as I actually read them.

Hi Alysa! I think Agamemnites has a nice ring to it!!

Holy moly! That's a lot of reading! Ok, I'll just read my little heart out and we can cut 'em if we go over! :)

I originally said 10, but then was afraid I might overread and asked the mod to up it to 15, but I'm not sure that was ever done. I know they were super busy with getting the Teams formed. So I just to know which one I need to aim for!
