35559 I think A Game of Thrones can do 1-4 potentially for the Hydra. I think I'll be done in a couple days. I am halfway through, but I paused to read Lake Silence, I'll hopefully finish tomorrow. just a thought.

Woo! Ok, I'll get started on it soon! I've been holding that book for no reason and I don't know why I never started it (tooooo many books)!

Once we know, I can start reading it, and pause what I'm currently working on. It's really the only book I have that I've already read the first 5, and haven't already read further.

35559 Would this work for "Read a book that is #6 in a series."

Lake Silence (The World of the Others, #1; The Others, #6)

For context, this is the 6th book in the Other series... but it starts a new series spin off... I think that's clear, but just in case.

35559 Do you want me to add it for you? Are you able to do it?

35559 I say do Bird an Metal for Stymplalian Birds, since Paranormal>Shapeshifter is probably easier to find. Once I finish one of these books I'm currently reading I could read one quickly if it hasn't been claimed by then.

I'm over here cackling about a goat being "featured" in a book... I'm picturing a stage and a light. I need to go back to bed.

ETA: On a more serious note, what would constitute featuring... would the *GOAT* need to DO something in the book? Would a farmer who owns goats be enough, assuming the goats have no actual dialog (screaming goats!!) ... I'm laughing, but I'm serious!

35559 Can I get a consensus on what this is on the cover and if it is perhaps metal.... (haha)

35559 I have a random question. If we both listen to the audiobook and also read the paperback, alternating based on our current circumstances, which edition should we choose?

For instance, if I'm listening to A Game of Thrones while working and driving, but I read the paperback when I'm at home or in bed, which edition should I use?

It's probably really not that important, but if there was an advantage one way or the other, because of page numbers, I want to make sure I'm not doing the wrong thing.

ETA: in the GOT example it doesn't matter, as the page count is identical, I am just curious for future books.

35559 So you're referring to these:

Reverse Harem, Fantasy, Paranormal, Paranormal Romance, Witches, Vampires, M M Romance, Magic ...see all

But... how does that get you to:

Polyamorous -> Reverse Harem
Fantasy
Paranormal -> Shapeshifters
Paranormal -> Demons
Fantasy -> Paranormal
Romance -> Paranormal Romance
Paranormal -> Witches
Paranormal -> Vampires
Romance -> M M Romance
Fantasy -> Magic

I know I sound really dense... please forgive me.

Is this the correct page to reference: https://www.goodreads.com/work/shelve...

35559 Ok, so in your example I see these MPGS:

shifter (4people)
paranormal (3people)

But I don't see them together, like paranormal-shapeshifter or paranormal-shifter.

So it doesn't matter if they are together with a dash, as long as both "paranormal" and "shapeshifter" (or variation) are MPGs?

35559 So, either one or the other, not both or something else?

35559 I don't know if this question has already been asked, but what exactly does this mean?
