We are already on task 71/100 though so we might want to prioritize Mini 1 and/or 3 if your book works for both!

OH I thought you meant the foreign lands list lol. We are going to need from foreign lands throughout the entire challenge, but don't force yourself while you're not in the mood. There's plenty of other options

Also Trio, I'm sure you already know but Audible is having their huge summer sale right now

You can just put "Hold" on the book tabs with your name and the ref code while you find a book. People aren't really claiming without a book, but that task has been haunting us for so long nobody is going to care LOL

Shan, just a heads up our caps were not increased. I did make us a banked books tab on the spreadsheet so we can smartly move books around as needed since you and I are reading more than we expected

Yes! For the list tasks I do not move stuff around unless it's one of the books that's on almost every list

I did find 3 MM books on there (and probably more they just didn't fit with what I was looking for and then nap time was over so I lost my time)

Australia is an easy country so if it fits in mini 2 or 3 we're going to want to put it there, but yes everything on the books tab and the rest populates!

And yes upload every book you've read even if you don't fit it anywhere! We get points based on pages read too

I'm going to try to figure out how to get the title of the last book to show up next to the column for date last read on the Summary tab of the smart sheet because I'm also sometimes a bulk uploader so I know how hard it can be when things get hidden

You actually only signed up for 4! 9 is just your cap to keep teams fair but you were added to the team with 4 in mind. So you’re right on track and you definitely don’t need to feel guilty.

Just make sure you get them on the sheet as soon as possible so mods can see that you’re reading a little higher! If you need me to let you know the last book you added because they’re hidden let me know

I'll start. If anyone needs to decrease or if it evens us out with the other teams I would love to increase my average to 40 BPM. My husband picked up reading as a hobby which means I have more time for it lol. I can also stay the same though and just be strategic

Hello all! Some important updates from the mods and changes you'll see on the planning sheet. As well as some information I need from each and every one of you, so please read everything! (And thank you to Tammie over at CN Tower for letting me copy some of her language so I didn't confuse us all)

#1 Captains have been asked to get all books completed to the main...we'll be doing that and likely continue to do that moving forward.
What does this mean for all of us?
- If a change is needed on the SS that affects a finished book, please note that HERE in this thread. We'll need to change both SSs
-While you can't change the main sheet, you can view it. On that sheet anything highlighted yellow has not yet been used for a mini. So if you have something highlighted that can be put somewhere, please let us know! Pay attention to dates for Minis 1 & 3 since we can't bank.

#2 It's time to assign back up players to teams. Captains have been asked to calibrate on books we've each claimed we can read per month vs what we've read.
It's a bit confusing as we started in the middle of the month...but think of it as 30 days. Right now we are 2/3 through month 1.

FOR THE FIRST AND LAST TIME, the Mods are letting us say if we need to adjust our books sign ups in either direction. I need everyone to check in if they need that number changed for month 2/3. Please be honest! If you think you're not going to hit your sign up number, we'd love to get a back up (or increase other team members caps accordingly). There's no shame in saying life has happened!

Please ask if you have questions about this. We'll likely avoid making minor changes but if there's a need, we can certainly make requests. We have until 11am central time on Friday ...sorry for the late notice on this! I'll be messaging each of you to make sure you see this message because we have such a short amount of time.
