Either way is good. If we use the Goldfinch for the bird, and this for the metal, we can conquer another monster.

They kind of skipped over my question, so I say YES! The goldfinch works :) It's a bird for sure :)

35559 I'm listening to Don Quixote on double speed, but then I have to go back to the Cliff Notes to see what happened....
Not the most efficient way of reading....

35559 Oh boy. Who's up for a door stopper??

Charybdis

Charybdis has been spotted close to your shores and endangering ships heading for the harbor. If you manage to defeat this monster be prepared to answer "how are you still alive" every time you tell the story. The monster is interested in helping you reach your childhood dream of finding what's in Davy Jones's Locker.

To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book 800 pages or longer.
2.) Author's name (first or last) starts with one of the letters in POOL.
3.) Read a book where the MC is forced to make a hard choice (your interpretation).
4.) Read a book with "fig" in the title or text.
5.) Read a book where the characters take a boat trip (of any type).

Goldfinch seems like it would work? I'll ask in the captain's group.

35559 I finally finished my rock guide - author's last name is Pough. I'm going to try to finish all my books before July 1! Then start off anew.

35559 Here it is!
Stymphalian Birds

Stymphalian Birds have been seen filling your orchards and causing delays in harvesting. They are hard to defeat because of their numbers. Music can soothe the savage beasts, may want to try metal bands.

To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book between 350 and 450 pages (inclusive).
2.) Read a book that is #6 in a series.
3.) Read a book with a musical instrument mentioned in the text.
4.) Read a book with something metal on the cover.
5.) Read a book that features a bird (bird shifter accepted).

35559 Nice killing off the Empusa!
I'll get rid of the body, and ask for another monster.

That's cool. My mom raised sheep for a while. She really loved them. I think they can be quite endearing.

35559 No worries about the fig. I'm off chasing windmills, and have figs a plenty! I'll stick my name on there for now. I don't mind being bumped though!!

35559 Nice ! Read that dragon book! No joke, on the first page of Don Quixote it says “under my cloak a fig for the king!”
