35559 White cover though. I don't know if I've ever read a book with a white cover! Interesting.

35559 I know it! I guess they've retired some (no more sheep!) and added others! This one looks pretty cool :)

35559 And a new one!
Cretan Bull

The Cretan Bull has been spotted running amok across your lands destroying defensive walls and crops alike. He is hard to defeat and really should of been sacrificed as the gods intended. Also, not opposed to participating in some marriage infidelity. So there may be some surprises popping out 9 months from now.

To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book between 350 and 450 pages (inclusive).
2.) Read a book with a white cover.
3.) Read a book where something physical is destroyed (e.g., building burning down and not a relationship being ruined).
4.) Read a book where the MC ignores important advice.
5.) Read a book with a 7 in the page count.

35559 An oldie, but a goodie:

Sirens

The Sirens have been spotted on your shores endangering ships heading for the harbor. Easy enough to defeat if you know how, don't recommend calling them one hit wonders though.

To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book between 100 and 125 pages (inclusive).
2.) Read a book that takes place on a boat or ship.
3.) Read a book with a character who is deaf (any degree acceptable)
4.) Read a book with a rope on the cover.
5.) Read a book with "Mermaid" in the text.

35559 Ah yes! And all planning should actually go to the Trojan Wars thread...

35559 Okay! We've started the Trojan Warships (to be completed during the same time as monsters). That just started 10 minutes ago. Check your books that you start now, or this week. Anyone able to start one of these genres?
Mostly looking for classics, paranormal, and contemporary, but these others can be banked for future attacks.

Oh! I should have seen that. Just finished one."

We can save it for the next one?

35559 Here's our new beast!

Colchian Dragon

Colchian Dragon has been seen on your lands, searching for a new and improved golden fleece. Maybe a platinum one? He's not the strongest monster around but still takes some effort to put down. Likes music and is distracted from finishing his tasks.

To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book between 200 and 299 pages (inclusive).
2.) Read a book from an unfinished series.
3.) Read a book with a musical instrument on the cover.
4.) Read a book with MPG Epic Fantasy.
5.) Read a book with a yellow cover (at least 50%).

Same. I'm a bit fuzzy on the details still. I read a lot of science and animal and nature books though, so I'd be game for those books, and others of course :)
