I love this question. I just put The Tiger's Wife on my TBR because it looks like something I'd like to read too.

I've never thought of boycotting books because of their title! Now, I will have something to think about. Now here will be the real trick - a book with the correct title and a bedside vigil :)

As for great women powered feminist books, I love those. Tracy Chevalier, Kristin Hannah, Madeline Miller, Lisa See, T Kingfisher, so many good authors!

Do any of you all have favorite women powered authors?

Those are the ones that haven't been finished from the first word. The letters from that word that are complete and are in the official spreadsheet are hidden.

35559 Just finished Frankenstein. I don't think I've ever read it before. It still holds up!

Yes!
I hope to pick it up at the library this week.

Are you going to read Varney?
I'm so tempted.
Just to say I read it.

35559 I forgot how wordy these 1800 authors were. Good grief! I kinda want to shake Frankenstein and say "yeah, dude, you shouldn't have made the monster. Deal." but I guess that comes later.

35559 I'm starting with Frankenstein - I figure it's a good October, old publication adventure.

What are you all starting with?

Thanks Christine!
I always feel like there's one or two letters that get us each time. I'll keep an eye out for those O's too.

35559 I hear you, Shannon about the job front. My daughters both graduated and it's a bit slow right now. I wish you good luck!

Just the second October BOM counts for this challenge. I'm going to see if I can get it out of the library too.
