Welcome everyone whose checked in so far, it looks like we have a fun team and I am very excited to get started.

We are close to having the full team, I'm going to wait a few more days to let everyone pop in and then go over some logistics and see what questions people may have.

I always mean to do that and then never do. I usually end up making when I'm linking team shelves. I just never get called out since I'm the one doing the linking. hehe

It's whenever the captains are ready for their masses to gather.

There are different time zones, work schedules, and general life things that all impact this.

It just worked out a few districts were ready today.

No team is behind and everything will likely be open over the next few days. The game doesn't start for 2 weeks. It'll all be okay

But, we LOVE the excitement :)

Oh that sounds like a fun trip and we don't have anything that needs instant updating going on, especially right at the start so no worries about that :)

Hello and Welcome to District 8, where all the best textiles are made!

I'm Judith (she/her/hers) and your captain for this maiden voyage of Book Games and I'm also one of the mods of the group behind this adventure.

We have a lot of fun things in store for you and please ask questions here in the thread as there are many moving pieces.

Personally speaking I live in the US on the East Coast and professionally am an economist for the USEPA in the toxic chemical office. Outside of work and reading, I spend most of my time chasing after an active 6 year old. I read almost any genre of books and am always looking for new recommendations.

I think we have a great team and am looking forward to getting to hang out together for the next 3 months!

You can just jump in with thoughts or answer questions when the sets get posted.

Set 1 will be up on May 2 or 3. for this book so they are over 2 days to make it easier to stay on schedule as the sections are a bit longer than normal.

The only time you need to raise your hand really is if you are volunteering to write a set of DQs.

And if it’s during a team challenge and you are participating, when you volunteer you need to provide your team name.
