DQ-1 (I - Chapter Two)1. Our main character, whose name has yet to be said (I believe,) is on her 6th round of interviews for this new position that is unclear. Have you ever gone into such an intense interview process or would you go through one with a significant pay raise without knowing what the job entailed?
No, not really and certainly not that many rounds. Though for a secret government job with high pay I actually can see that as legit. For the right amount of money, sure, I'd do it.
2. Commander Graham Gore is the main expact that we are following along with four others. Did you google or already know if these expat characters are real from history? What did you find out?
I didn't really know of them beforehand and I didn't google them. It was late when I started reading so I didn't. Normally though I probably would of because I'm nosy like that.
3. The MC mentioned she was concerned that Ralph was bridge to one of the only woman expats. Do you think we will hear of any issues among them later on in the book?
I mean, I'm assuming he's a bit of a creepy that should be watched, otherwise, why make such a specific comment.
4. What were your thoughts on the MC introducing Gore to cannabis?
I thought it was funny. And it sounded like he wasn't completely unfamiliar with it either. All the random ways he's being scandalized by changes in the why men and women interact make me chuckle a bit.

My goal is to clear some longer ones but I tend not to plan over much until I have a word/letters. Then I go into planning overdrive. LOL

The Seed Keeper by Diane Wilson
A haunting novel spanning several generations, The Seed Keeper follows a Dakota family's struggle to preserve their way of life, and their sacrifices to protect what matters most.
Rosalie Iron Wing has grown up in the woods with her father, Ray, a former science teacher who tells her stories of plants, of the stars, of the origins of the Dakota people. Until, one morning, Ray doesn't return from checking his traps. Told she has no family, Rosalie is sent to live with a foster family in nearby Mankato--where the reserved, bookish teenager meets rebellious Gaby Makespeace, in a friendship that transcends the damaged legacies they've inherited.
On a winter's day many years later, Rosalie returns to her childhood home. A widow and mother, she has spent the previous two decades on her white husband's farm, finding solace in her garden even as the farm is threatened first by drought and then by a predatory chemical company. Now, grieving, Rosalie begins to confront the past, on a search for family, identity, and a community where she can finally belong. In the process, she learns what it means to be descended from women with souls of iron--women who have protected their families, their traditions, and a precious cache of seeds through generations of hardship and loss, through war and the insidious trauma of boarding schools.
Weaving together the voices of four indelible women, The Seed Keeper is a beautifully told story of reawakening, of remembering our original relationship to the seeds and, through them, to our ancestors.
My new nominate until it wins/I read it anyway :P

I finished off Galatea if someone wants to spin for a new one. I won’t be at a computer for most of the day
I looked at what was read when my team had that monster. We only spun it once and I read Kraken porn. Go me for taking one for the team!I think it worked for 3 different challenges I had going at the time though so I just read it quickly through one open eyeball.
That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolfthis series is actually silly fun and while there are sexy times, there is actually a fun ridiculous plot and not just "let's have weird sex" on every page.
Also on KU
What can I say, I'm a giver. Also I'm not sure I was in the best of moods when I was putting that together . . .
Us mods have all gotten bogged down in the tedious tasks of real life, but we will endeavor to get one more team challenge in before the end of the year
