35559 Already have my second book picked out for the round 2 detour. I will be reading: Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. Worked out well as it is sitting at the library waiting for me :D

I did - at the very top of the post"

Missed it - thanks!

Maybe Chili? Will have to clarify when we get to that week. Kona would be the easiest all around lol.

35559 Sally - on your post do you want to indicate somehow which stops we are doing detours? That way we can easily keep track :D

35559 Perfect - I took a look at all the detours for all the stops and all seem good but I'm going to throw out a vote against:

7) Read a book where the author uses a suffix (Jr, Sr.,)

I've done a brief search and am having trouble finding ANY options let alone multiple. Might be worth it to do a spell-out for that one.

EDIT: must have edited your post before I added mine :) That looks good! As long as we avoid 7 lol

I guess we can ask?"

Hmm not finding the detour planning. I see some ideas were tossed around but did we set all of them?

We should have some sort of tracking post near the beginning so we can plan ahead. I usually have to request my books through the library and it can sometimes take awhile :D

I'll second the author/setting in Spain! Might be fun to read something from that area.

Yep! Trilogy is on the first page of shelves :) Awesome!

35559 Hi Jodie!

We are still at the first stop. We decided to do the detour for this stop. For this, everyone needs to read a book with 'trilogy' or some minor variation on the first page of shelves. Some helpful links were posted earlier!

35559 Finally done :)

I've heard wonderful things about The Raven Boys by the same author. I read Shiver forever and ever ago. Think I may need to re-read to finish the trilogy :)

35559 Hope to finish my book this weekend! Reading - It's Not Summer Without You.

Finding a book for this detour was actually tricky! Apparently I've already read waaaaaaaaay too many trilogies :D

35559 Team 12 looks lonely on the main thread page - lets try to get our name squared away!

In an effort for more creativity and smaller names I (well, google) came up with:

- Wanderful Pages or Wanderful Books
- Off the Beaten Page

Other names mentioned above:

- Around the World with A Book
-Wanderlusting Around the World with a Book OR Around the World with Wanderlust
- 12 readers travelling
- Tome Raiders (this is great - but there already is a Book Raiders)
- Tome Travelers
- First Class Fliers

I think I caught most of them. Lets take a vote and name our expedition!

Awesome! I love the 'feel' of this challenge - more self/group guided with flexible time frame! Great idea :D

35559 Here's a link for popular books marked as "trilogy":

Popular books shelved as trilogy!

Just got to make sure when you check out the book it is on the first page of "top Shelves" for that book.

I'm not sure about this! Sometimes challenge leaders get picky on embedded words. I'm thinking they are looking for just "trilogy" or "trilogies". I would send a message to the Mod and get it approved. The first message in our thread has the mod name - if you go to their profile you can send them a message :)

35559 I'm good with doing detour for #1!

35559 Hey guys :)

Little late to the party! I'm in US on Central Time (11:30 AM here now).

Just getting into the instructions now. Will check back in once I figure out what the heck we are doing :)

Not picky of the names - all suggested are fun :) I'll throw out there 'Wanderlove' or 'Wanderlust' cause they are my fav traveling words :D
