This is my 4th read according to Goodreads but I know I have read it many more times than that. There were a few years in between when I wasn't tracking my reads in addition to which I went into a major reading slump.
I am definitely finding my reading more interesting after having read and watched Ballad. It is fascinating how well Suzanne Collins has linked the trilogy with the historical aspects of Ballad.

Btw, please don't feel bad if you don't want to sign up for DQs. It is not everybody's cup of team. That was not the aim of my earlier message.
I never knew about the BOTMs and DQs when I first started participating in NBRC's challenges. It took me a few rounds to figure them out and then get comfortable enough to volunteer to write the DQs. I only wanted to let all of you know in case anybody missed seeing the notifications.

No problem, Melanie! I suddenly had a doubt about whether the rest of the team knew about the BOTMs and thought it would be best to leave a message just in case.

Wishing you a safe, happy and comfortable journey!

This is a great opportunity if we want to read the Hunger Games trilogy and earn some extra points! I will join this, who else is in? For more informa..."
I am planning on listening to the audiobooks of all 3 books. I will probably also watch the movies as I complete each of the books. I haven't done either in years.

By the way, if anybody else is interested in Gin, you may find this a good read.

This is the list I am working on right now. Until I saw this article, I never realized just how many artisanal liquor brands have been started in India, many of which have won very prestigious awards around the world, like a whisky brand called Rampur.

With the bangs, I know what you mean. That was one of the worst ever recommendations given to me.

Also, I filled it out but only managed to read everybody's responses today. I hope you feel much better and wish you a speedy and successful recovery!
My mum also has a peace lily plant that coincidentally I named Shanti, the Hindi word for peace. She gets very upset when we are out of town and requires a lot of sweet-talking to get back to her normal form!

It is tied between What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and The Bare Necessities from The Jungle Book.
-If you got your 15 minutes of fame, what would you want it to be for?
To shine the light on the many hard-working, brilliant people out there who are overlooked despite having done tremendous things.
-Do you talk to your plants?
I don't really have any plants but I do talk to the plants I see in the wild mainly to praise them.
-Do you still consider Pluto to be a planet?
Always and forever!
-If you decided to host a late night talk show, who would be your first guest(s)?
The women scientists at ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation)
-Who was your childhood crush?
I had so many crushes and I can't remember most of them. My first celebrity crush whom I still adore is Paul Newman.
-Any current pets? Want to share pictures?
Sadly, no pets!
-Whiskey or vodka?
Gin! I recently rediscovered my love for gin when I found out just how many artisanal brands are being manufactured here in India and I have made it my mission to try out all of them. So far, my favourites are Jaisalmer and Greater Than.
-What was your worst haircut?
Sadly, pretty much every haircut I have ever had. My hair falls into that weird gap between curly and wavy and I have yet to find a hairdresser who knows to deal with it.
-Backpacking or luxury hotels?
Somewhere in between, leaning towards luxury!
-Speaking of luxury, what is your dream car?
I have never been much of a car fan.
-Would you rather have a cook or a maid?
Maid, please and thank you. Living in a tropical country with nonstop dust makes for a rather painful time trying to keep spaces clean.
-And finally (for now), what books are you looking forward to reading for this challenge?
Other than the BOTMs, I have been wanting to continue with my Stephen King readalong and read The Stand. Also, The School for Good and Evil Complete Collection by Soman Chainani, A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles and The Terror by Dan Simmons amongst others.

I will read pretty much anything though romance is one genre I do not enjoy as much.
I have been travelling a lot this year so I ended up watching many movies. I can never sleep on flights, even very long ones. I am planning on watching the new Hunger Games one next week. I watched the trailer and it looked very good.
I used to buy a lot of books at once, but as I get older, the thought of cleaning so many things has me downsizing everything, even my book collection. I am slowly getting rid of books I will never read again and trying to keep a very minimal and highly loved collection.
For this challenge, I am most looking forward to reading as many of my very long books as I can. I normally hold on to them for the NBRC challenges.
