hmm..interesting.. I know what I have down is realistic for me. I guess after mid week, we can try to fill in gaps if there are any. We also have to start pre planning for week 2. We get our second word about 2 days prior to start date

35559 Yep! I’m 2 books away from finishing this challenge :) I will most likely finish by the end of next week. I’m having fun with It so far and have enjoyed my books!

35559 Since we only have this word for one week, I think I'm set with the books I plan to read. If I can squeeze more in, I will!

35559 I'm bad at planning too. I'm trying to find 2 more longish books that fit. I'm glad our bonus books are all sorted though!

The challenge starts Saturday 27 October, 10pm, Lisbon time. So you have to wait until then to start reading your planned challenge books.

The challenge Ends Saturday 3 November, 10pm, London time. You must finish your books by then.

Since we all live in different time zones, I linked the countdown to the challenge as well as a link for a time zone converter. That way, everyone knows exactly when their books are due.

You can guestimate what and how much you will read. Try to read a long-ish book so we get a lot of points.

35559 No one has it written down, but one of our planned books has gotta have bones in the text lol. If you come across it, put it in the planner

For the genre search, I put the link above. Just type in "bones" and if it is on the first page of shelves it counts. I will insert a graphic when I get a chance.

bones + bones + bon ; this bon counts because all the previous bones are spelled out completely.

bones + bon + bo ; bo does not count because bon is not spelled out completely.

35559 Kate S wrote: "That is a pretty big change.

I read fairly fast and don't mind picking up longer books."

So you get bonus points for one spelling only, but you still have to spell it out to get book points. But it's still beneficial to read longer books since it's only 5 letters to spell out..

35559 By the way, they changed one of the rules which will effect our strategy. We get 15 points for spelling BONES, but no points for any subsequent spelling. So if we spell BONES 100 times, we are still only getting 15 points. Therefore, the best way to rack up points is by reading longer books. Thoughts? Are you guys fast readers?
