Trying to finish The President's Daughter. I don't know why I'm having such a hard time reading this because it's good, really good. I keep putting it down to read other books. I think I'm just burned out on James Patterson right now. I'm about halfway through so I sound be able to buzz through the rest of it by go time on Sunday.
I received my copy of The Travelling Cat Chronicles today. Can't wait to start it, it sounds really cute. I also ordered a copy of The Book of Cold Cases. I'm number 14 on 10 copies so it should come at the perfect time for the next BOM.

Thanks! I'm definitely reading this one
Hello everyone,My name is Rebecca. I've participated in TT before but took the last couple of years off due to challenge burnout and being in a reading slump. My reading seems to be getting back on track slightly here lately but I still put down a lower count than I normally would so I wouldn't let the team down.
I love to read most anything with the exception of science fiction and I'm not really into fantasy. I am trying though to spread my wings and branch out to other genres. Not a big audiobook person either. I find myself easily distracted when listening to books unless it's nonfiction read by someone who's voice I know already. Yes, I know very strange lol
My house is run by two extremely spoiled cats, Ciara and Charlotte, both of whom are rescues. Ciara was left at my vet's office (which if you're going to abandon an animal that's a great place to do it). She's been with me for 13 years now. She is the head cat in charge. Charlotte was one of the strays in my neighborhood. He (yes he-tried to change his name to Charley but he likes and responds only to Charlotte) walked in my back door one day said "Hello", scared the heck of me because I didn't know who was in my house and moved in. He's been with me for 3 years but is probably close to 7 years old. They both enjoy a very comfortable life and I am their servant and wouldn't have it any other way!
I work a ton of hours but in my off time I love to read, look for books to read, shop for books, research books, organize my books, watch cooking and baking shows and Christmas movies, traveling and crocheting. EDIT: I don't know how I forgot to add that I am an avid fan of baseball especially the Chicago Cubs. Win or lose I'm watching them. Go Cubs go!
I've been on teams with some of you before and it's good to see you again and nice to make some new friends as well.
Let's go Team Pandora!

I plan on reading The Travelling Cat Chronicles and have it ordered from the library. Hopefully it gets here by the 16th.

Hi Vaidehi, I watched baseball from Taiwan when the pandemic was going on and the US teams weren't playing yet. It was cool to see the differences between the two leagues. I loved the cheerleaders, the food, the after game awards and all the extra entertainment during the game. It was also exciting to see some players/managers that I recognized from the US. I love baseball...

I entered all of my books and I'm going to keep reading but I doubt I'll finish another before I get to work. If I happen to get another finished I'll have to post it on here. Also, since I do have access to the GR app if you need a different word for one of my books (or just in general) let me know and I can let you know if I have it. I'll try to keep checking regularly this afternoon. Thanks everyone for a great time, you're all awesome teammates. Thank you Lexi for all your excellent, hard work! You're a brainiac ;-D I'm sorry I seemed to hit a bump in the road this challenge and wasn't able to read as much.
Wishing everyone a joyful holiday season!

Lexi wrote: "That is just middle grade books. You are good with Twilight if it is 501 pages (500 pages is only 8 and not 12 so you need that extra page)."Thanks Lexi, it's definitely 501 pages.
If I were to read Twilight which has 501 pages would it count as a 300 page book or a 500 page book? I'm thinking there's something wonky with YA books and page counts. I could be wrong, have been before and I'm sure I will be again
Hi Susan so nice to meet you! Thanks for joining our team. Your daughter is a delight. I’m very lucky to have done several challenges with her and consider her a good friend. I can sympathize with you about not being able to sit outside now due to darkness (and the weather). I love your idea for a satellite office. Happy reading!
