Shannon - Nobody's Hero to shelf please
Trisha - Someone Else's Shoes and All the Colors of the Dark to shelf please

Generally just a lot of browsing. The monthly newsletters are a good source to find out about new challenges. Plus, UNO over on Perks is coming up and registrations will be open in late Dec/Jan.

Another question: If we can't fit our books to the new mini, we're supposed to try to fit them to round two of the old minis, right? I'm just asking because it doesn't look like an..."
No, the old Minis are completely done and confirmed as completed by mods; we can only complete the new mini now.

Yes, we have to have them in our book to count - I'm hoping my cozy mystery has one - but I highly doubt my high fan..."
Nope, As long as it has the bonus word, you're good.

I asked. The reply was "no".

Good thing I'm alone in my room right now....

It's going to round off anyways, so we'll get 80 points for the book, I think.
I'm going to read this one at some point this month as well.

That seems to be the problem whenever I pick up new books - where do I put them...!

We also have a fun new mini, but we can only start reading for it after we've completed all of our tasks for the first three minis.

Go ahead - I've removed Antigfragile from the sheet

is there a way I can check which books I posted? They've disappear..."

Ch 11 to 13
14. How do you like Poirot's style of revealing what happened? Do you enjoy reading whodunnit mysteries?
Way too convoluted for no reason at all. Occasionally a whodunnit is fun, but I need to be in the mood to read one, otherwise I just end up annoyed at myself for picking it up.
15. The mystery has been unraveled and we now know what happened to Mrs. Inglethorp. Have you guessed who it was or were you surprised?
The medication being in her bottle came as a surprise. That said, Christie was an expert in poisons, so...
16. Is there anything you would have changed about the narrative? Something you didn't like? If so, here's your place to rant :)
I didn't really think about it that much. It was a fun read, and that's all as far as I was concerned.
17. If you haven't already, would you consider picking up another Hercule Poirot book or any other of Agatha Christie's works?
I wouldn't mind if it was for a challenge, but I don't know if I'd randomly pick it up otherwise.

Ch 8 to 10
10.) Any guesses about "find the extra coffee cup and you can rest in peace"? Does that fact Lawrence found it indicate guilt or innocence do you think?
At the time I thought it was guilt.
11.) With books as old as this, some language/terms just do not age well and can be jarring to randomly come across in the text. Should language like this be censored/edited to match less offensive terms of the times (though not sure there is a correct way to say a lady dressed up in blackface). Or should they be left as is and used as a point of discussion on race/sexuality/class/gender/etc?
I think it should be left as was, but with an introductory note discussing this use of language. Something similar was done for Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and for all the use of offensive terms, it made the story and its world more comprehensive.
12.) Lots happening in the section, arrests abound! Do you think John was arrested for his step mother's murder or for some other reason like Dr. B?
The Doctor B thing came out of the blue! John was being really shady though.
13.) What do you think about our narrator and giver or random marriage proposals, Hastings?
He's an idiot who knows a lot less than he thinks he does, and doesn't even have the self-awareness to recognise it.
